Island Records whose logo happens to be a palm "TREE" hmm Interesting logo. Isn't Jesse Ware part of the Island Records artists family? Jessie Ware is with cherry Tree Records.

Island Records is not totally "urban". Artist roster includes: Bon Jovi, Melissa Etheridge, Fall Out Boy, Brandon Flowers. Also boy band The Wanted (I believe managed by Beiber's mastermind.)

Island Records is not totally "urban". Artist roster includes: Bon Jovi, Melissa Etheridge, Fall Out Boy, Brandon Flowers. Also boy band The Wanted (I believe managed by Beiber's mastermind.) Neither is IDJMG these days (Rihanna, Neon Trees, Avicii). Of course the roots are there, so it is true to some degree. But given that they want to be a pop, rock and urban label, I think they would want to strengthen pop direction especially. I don't really think this is an issue, actually. I think the much more important question is, whether Adam wants to swim in the big pond with all the big fish or be part of a still somewhat smaller pond and obviously all that ultimately depends on what doors have opened for him and what choices he can make. Btw, I am not anticipating any news re label tomorrow. Will be positively surprised, if I am wrong. So, all this is just cooking up the information/tweets of the day.

And he will stay there as long as they can leave him there -- RCA owns FYE and Trespassing. They will be selling these for a long time. Island Records whose logo happens to be a palm "TREE" hmm while I love the idea of Barry Weiss getting Adam, IDJ is a very urban leaning label. Cherry Tree or KidsinaKorner seem a better fit. but I think Barry would wrk hard for Adam. I think Barry Weiss has other things on his mind -- IDJMG is a big operation. It is just my small wish!

Question: Could the three mountains that Ashley drew in that DREW video, be the three mountains in Avicii's video? They are a reoccurring theme in the video. Secondly, just noticed that Avicii has a gig in Glasgow on the 17th of August, then one in Ibiza on the 18th and then he is in the Hamptons with Nile (!) on the 19th and from there headed to the studio in NYC, before returning to EU for a gig on the 24th. Yikes! Talk about a shock to the system. Glad he is young too, whole schedule is insane. avicii.com/gigs/And here is Avicii's teaser for the upcoming project which he published in Jan 2013. Lots of paint being squeezed. Not exactly DRAWing, more like painting, but close. It plays on avicii.com.

It is very confusing. Jessie Ware is on Island Records.UK. But artists on Island UK are on different labels in the US. For example, Jessie J. She is on Island UK but on the Republic label in the US. However, all these labels are under the UMG umbrella.
