Re that Avicii tweet and your post Q3. That is exactly what my take was on the tweet as well. As a fan, my gut reaction was something along the lines of " Really? Just how stupid do you think I am and quit using Adam fans for lazy clicks".....and then I thought "What a stupid tweet that was"! Then I just shrug it off and lose interest.....jmho It seems I'm the ignorant here I agree, the tweet is not good nor well-worded. But when you know it's a fan (a non-native english-speaker I think), not Avicii - what's the objection? - he tweets info and his views as an avid fan, gets response and replies to that, I don't see any harm, should I? And what 'lazy clicks' (that would probably give monetary benefit to someone 'not worthy' perhaps) are you talking about? - nobody gets any money from this (as far as I know), don't you want to see his info copied here or what?

Adam Lambert News @al_ExaminerAdam Lambert fan club founder passes on, Glamberts mourn exm.nr/19ngq9DAugust 16, 2013 Adam Lambert’s fan community lost a special member this week. On Friday (August 16) fans learned that Gale Chester Whittington passed away, leaving a huge whole in many people’s hearts. Gale was passionately dedicated to Adam Lambert and his love for his idol became the focus for his life. He formed the “Adam Lambert Fan Club” (ALFC) on Facebook, which has more than 40,000 likes. He posted every tidbit of news he found related to Adam including interviews, video, news articles, and fan art. Gale was born male on February 6, 1948, in Holyoke, Colorado. He wrote a book called 'Beyond Normal' and was a pioneer in early days of gay rights. Gale received numerous awards for his novels, memoirs, poems, short stories, and essays, including six from the prestigious Oklahoma Writer’s Federation, Inc. (OWFI) and one from Writers Digest. Not only was Gale a hugely dedicated fan of Adam, but also a very kind and friendly man. Fans have been flooding his Twitter and the ALFC page with sympathy messages. According to one of the assistant administrators of the fan club page, it will continue. However, no one can contribute as much as Gale did, as he devoted everything to the community. He will be greatly missed.

This Amazon article says he was born in 1948 which would make him 65 and the funeral notice said he was 67 so is this a mistake or some other person with the same name?

Aleks - Thank you so much for your post - For me, these acoustic versions of Trespassing and Aftermath highlighting the magic and uniqueness of Adam's voice come as close to hearing him live as anything I've heard yet.

Does anyone here have an obit for Gale Chester Whittington? All I've seen so far are articles on his writings, etc.
I would like to post the obit on some gay websites, where Adam is continually mocked and scorned. Whenever I post something positive about Adam, I am ridiculed as a "glamcow" (=an older woman who loves Adam) as no gay man could possibly be a fan. It has been getting a bit better lately, though anything good about Adam still brings out a lot of negativity.

He has done so much to help the very community that mocks him...self hate is a terrible thing. By putting Adam down ,they are putting themselves down. You are wonderful for being you and wonderful in persisting in your fandom for a man who would probably give you one of the shirts off his back.. (just had to lighten up). I have the following, most of it on Adamtopia. zengersmag.blogspot.com/2009/08/movements-pioneers-launch-project.htmladamlamberttv.blogspot.com/www.facebook.com/AdamLambertFanClub?fref=ts...................................... The fan club started by Gale.. 40,000 members I believe.. Hope this will convince some anti-Adam folks to give it a rest..

No issue with tweets from that account being posted here. Actually, a small bit of my response to the tweet and Holly's long comment about Marketing was plucked out of context and my follow-up post was so that there could be a coherent conversation. Not a big deal. I was trying to explain the use of the work relationship in my post. I used relationship in a marketing context not a personal context. The kind of relationships we have with brands, stores and institutions. I have been unable to determine anything about that Twitter account other than it is not actually OFFICIAL. It appears to be a fan but someone who is a fluent English speaker. I believe the use of the word "those" was intended very specifically for the few Adam fans who are repetitively tweeted about LMD and being annoying. But hard to tell. >> It is one of the problems with Twitter and online communication -- hard to decipher anger from sarcasm/joking. And there is no chance there will be a third Avicii single released before the album is released since single #2 goes on sale on August 30th and the album is released on Sept 17th.

It seems with many successful people, their own community (ethnicity, country, regions, etc) reveres them. What is it about Adam they dislike?
