The obvious problem with the "AVICII NEWS OFFICIAL @avicii_News_" twitter account is that it does not have an official relationship with Avicii, therefore it can not be an official spokesman for Avicii.
If more "AVICII NEWS OFFICIAL @avicii_News_" tweets are posted, a disclaimer ought to be included so as not to cause anymore confusion.

Why don't gay men like Adam? It seems with many successful people, their own community (ethnicity, country, regions, etc) reveres them. What is it about Adam they dislike?I would really like an answer to this, too. I just don't understand how Adam's community could reject such a talented 'out and proud' and giving person. ETA: Q3 thanks for your comments on it....I saw them after I posted. Ummm because maybe us gay people are individuals too? As in, we all have our own likes and dislikes, just like straight people do. And, just so that you girls know, there are plenty of gay people who do like Adam, he gets plenty of play in gay clubs, and has had a good portion of gay fans at his concerts. I might also point out, that Adam does in fact get supportive comments from other gay men on gay sites. However, it is silly to automatically assume we are some monolithic organization who all think and act alike. There will always be someone out there who doesn't like someone/something, or is just looking to stir crap up. Honestly, if you see a woman disparage a female artist do you automatically declare the female community in its entirety as being anti-feminist?

It seems I'm the ignorant here I agree, the tweet is not good nor well-worded. But when you know it's a fan (a non-native english-speaker I think), not Avicii - what's the objection? - he tweets info and his views as an avid fan, gets response and replies to that, I don't see any harm, should I? And what 'lazy clicks' (that would probably give monetary benefit to someone 'not worthy' perhaps) are you talking about? - nobody gets any money from this (as far as I know), don't you want to see his info copied here or what? I am not going to get into a 'who is right' or other such thing...I stated this was just my fan reaction, based on what I assumed ...as many no doubt did....that this was an 'official' site and tweet. As such, it would/could be expected to be from a professional. A professional should know better. Now we 'know' it is not an official site so there is no assumption of a lack of professionalism...but that does not change the tone of the message. If it was unintended due to second language difficulties, that is too bad. I am not angry with them or anyone...I don't care that much about Avicii...he is fine without me....I do care about Adam...but the reflection here is not on Adam...and not major. If you are offended Belle, or taking it personally....I am very sorry about that....I meant nothing negative to/about you or second language fans. I did not realize this was a fan. That is it...outta here.... Thank you for your reply too! I reacted first because I thought people were assuming it was a professional account. And I did not want to do it only with a couple of (angry?) words... but tried to explain context to my thinking. I'm not offended in any way nor do I take this personally.

Anonymity brings out the asshole in some people and sometimes it seems as if "everyone" is saying something, when it's really just a few trolls who like to stir things up. I have to constantly remind myself of that or I'd be too depressed to get out of bed!

Regarding an obituary for Gale -- all there is is a brief death notice. Gale Chester Whittington, 65, died Monday. No services planned. Williamson-Spradlin. www.tulsaworld.com/article.aspx/Death_notices_for_August_15/20130815_56_A12_hTULSA702714?subj=6 So here is my Obituary..... Gale Chester Whittington Obituary Gale Chester Whittington, a gay writer, author and activist passed away on August 12, 2013 at the age of 67. Gale was born on February 6, 1948, in Holyoke, Colorado. His father was a fundamentalist Nazarene preacher with a religious radio program, his mother, a gospel-recording artist. Mr. Whittington wrote for underground newspapers in the late sixties during his fight for gay rights. In 1969, Gale and Leo Laurence, co-founded the Committee for Homosexual Freedom (CHF)and promoted the concept of coming out en masse as a way to enlighten and change the world. The CHF were fiery gay guerrillas who fanned the sparks that helped inspire participants at Stonewall to stand and fight openly for their rights, thereby passing along a torch that would ignite the movement to liberate gays and enlighten heterosexuals around the world. Gale owned and operated a popular Denver pet store (Colorado Seed & Pet) for 28 years. In 2000, Gale returned to writing full time. Gale received numerous awards for his novels, memoirs, poems, short stories, and essays, including six awards from the prestigious Oklahoma Writer’s Federation, Inc. (OWFI) and one from Writers Digest. In recent years, he settled in Oklahoma at his late parents’ home. He struggled with health issues and personal difficulties, but his love for Adam Lambert and the Facebook community that grew around his Adam Lambert Fan club on Facebook page were sources of joy for him and to the 40,000+ fans who had “liked” his page. In 2010, Gale's autobiography, “Beyond Normal: The Birth of Gay Pride” was published. The book is an extensive chronicle the early history of the gay movement and the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transsexual (GLBT) Revolution of 1969. This book is available from Amazon.com www.amazon.com/Gale-Chester-Whittington/e/B004FDIF78 Gale Whittington was a true gay pioneer and accomplished author. He will be greatly missed by his friends, family and tens of thousands of online readers.
