All I know is that when I post positive Adam news or counter negative news (like the break with RCA) on some sites (no names here), I get called out as not being really gay, of actually being an older woman (as, in some minds, they are the ONLY ones who could like Adam Lambert). Yes, there is a lot of self-hatred, and an special dislike of gay men who are not "straight-acting". I believe this is especially true of America, as opposed to the UK, South America, Brazil, etc, where Adam appears to have many "openly gay" fans. Also, just my opinion, but I think if Adam truly had the support of more of the gay community, Trespassing would have sold more and he would be at a better point in his career. At the same time, I believe Adam needs to focus more on winning wide "mainstream" support. Shoshana and the US PR effort for TP seemed to be too focused on gay media, and not enough on the non-gay segments. As some gay radio personalities have said, Gays will follow if Adam shows he can achieve mainstream success. Still I will continue to fight for Adam where negativity appears. "Political correctness" in any form is pretty despicable. And I have spent a lot of time supporting Adam -- but I have decided to stop battling people who are negative about him -- they often do not want to listen or change anyway and are just poking the bear. In any case, it is agonizing to read negative posts about Adam -- and we have all seen them. I really try to scroll while I wonder why anyone would waste time to post a comment tearing someone apart. ** Musically and thematically Trespassing is not really mainstream. And in a world where Bruno Mars is the top selling singles artist for 2 years in a row, I am not certain I want Adam to be mainstream.  No knock on Bruno but his music is not very interesting. And I am more interested in the Planet Fierce than the Planet Mars. The US promotion of Trespassing was to a broad audience -- Adam was on all the major syndicated radio programs, Idol and Leno and many other mainstream US TV shows. The album was reviewed by all the major publications -- including NYTimes, Billboard and Rolling Stone. Adam did focus more on gay events, media and causes during the past 2 years, but he said in an interview that was his choice. I really do not think the promotion was the issue with Trespassing -- I think that two week single was the problem. And then when Adam finally got a change to pick a track to go to radio, single #3, he picked Trespassing vs. Cuckoo or Naked Love which were the most mainstream tracks left on the album. It was probably too late anyway. JMHO. |

I asked about Adam and Sauli juice because I thought maybe they were saying about this in detail their juices routine and you know it. I just wanted to try what they drank. The boys still look healthy and happy. I remember how Sauli was so excited when they bought a juicer. Seems that their secret stay with them .. Morning! ![]()
