More heads are better than 1. Yes, grass. No, desert. Could this be an outdoor 2010 concert? I sort of think this was pre-idol music festival in California. Me too. He said something about it in an interview and it was somehwere close (ie in California). (Trying to remember: Something like that he's not an avid festival-goer but went earlier (the year before maybe?), it was ok but perhaps not his favourite way of enjoying music. Maybe he had a concert or only the interview just before the festival took place there and they were asking if he'll go - and he said no.)

This is the only pic (in the shirt) so far, that I haven't seen before. From his hair this looks like it must be one of the earliest sightings of the shirt. Any ideas when it was taken, Linda? I don't remember exactly, but you are right that it is an early photo; pre-idol, Cheeks era. I do sort of remember that way back someone identified the festival he is attending in the photo but I could not find it. I'll keep looking. Also, I believe that is Danielle on the right and there was some discussion that it is Elisse (Neil's girlfriend) on the left but it was not confirmed. I've always been torn between it being Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival or an event in San Diego called Over The Line Tourney www.sandiego.org/events/sports/over-the-line-tournament.aspx which is quite the experience. Doubt it is Burning Man, look at the green stuff on the ground. Not gonna happen at BM!

Yes, Coachella sounds familiar (I had heard about it here before I listened to the interview) and I like 2010 (if the festival is scheduled in a suitable time not coinciding with GNT).

I have this in my file for Adam's first Burning Man in 2005. I can guarantee that is not Burning Man. The only green thing on that desert would be a kale leaf someone dropped by accident. And then someone would have picked it up, handed it back to you and yelled MOOP!

I've never been to Cochella but have been to OTL. It really looks like OTL to me. A must go for any San Diegan and one of the main activities is the gauntlet for women with few clothes on. So... the women are appropriately dressed for OTL

Hey! My instinct said Coachella. My son, who has been there for the last two years says it is Coachella! We share the Adam passion.
I heard Adam say he has been there, but he did not like how crowded it got.
