I totally recognize Adam in that pic from Little Mary Sunshine! Maybe not his face so much but that is Adam's ribcage, so distinctive to me!

I think they should dub Freddie's voice in for whoever does the movie. There is only one Freddie! Ya, ya, ya, ! I know, they didn't dub in for Loretta Lynn's biop of for Johnny Cash. But neither of those 2 had Freddie's range. BUT, in order for a song to be considered for an Oscar, it has to be specifically written for the movie. So, hence my suggestion, that Adam sing the movie theme song. It would have to be a new song.  Totes agree that Adam should sing the theme song and win an Oscar. That's a strategically positive career move IMO. Playing Freddie..no. They absolutely should dub Freddie's voice in for this movie. Nobody should try to sound like him. It's Freddie Mercury! This biopic will be like stale bread if they try to make it into a Freddie singing impersonator. And you have to have an actor that can take on Freddie's huge persona. That will be the tricky part. BTW..what's up with Google? I can't get it to load. Everybody callin in sick?  |

Yes, that's Adam. I don't remember what event in his pre-idol days. I don't think I'm against Adam doing the biopic if it comes to that. Yes it's Freddie, but I don't know if the younger generation that didn't grow up with Freddies image would care that the actor matched his body type etc, they know the songs, they know Queen, I don't think they know Freddie. For instance Val Kilmer did a great job on The Doors, husband loved the movie and I thought it was cool that Kilmer did the singing. Same with the Cash movie. I don't see the need to use Freddie's vocals. |

I know this is all conjecture, but if they are considering Marc Martell to dub for Freddie, they might as well as consider Adam too. I bet with practice, Adam could sound like Freddie. If Phoenix and Witherspoon could imitate Cash and his wife, Adam with his vocal talent probably could imitate Freddie. i meant using Freddie's actual recorded voice for the singing. Once again, Cash and his wife did not have Freddie's range. |
