I know everyone likes to hear Adam intro's and moments so I have one to report!! It has been pride week on my little island and our Pride parade is the 3rd largest in the province....after Vancouver and Victoria...so that is pretty impressive considering our population :-) I planned in walking in the parade...but was concerned about my feet as I had to be prepared to stand for a few hours in the evening doing hair and makeup for a comedy revue featuring Drag Queens....eat your heart out!! so much fun.
Well...back to the Adam connection....I drive a little red convertible and somehow the parade marshal had not been properly prepared for soooooo I got to drive Jim Erickson and his Oscar!!! [ he just won the Oscar for set direction on the film Lincoln] and the pride organizers thru the town. I figured there was not a better choice of music available in this situation that TRESPASSING....which I BLASTED soooooo loud.....people in the street were grooving hugely to Trespassing and Cuckoo and Shady....Kicking in.....so much fun! MY passengers were clapping and swaying too....
The Revue was amazing too but no particular Adam connection there other than it was all about gay love and being who you are....hmmm...big connection after all...hugs all.

What, three pages only on my lazy Saturday?!? Okay. Yesterday, Jablea asked us about Adam's music recommendations and their influence on us ( something like that, I think) Of all the artists I have learned through him, only three were completely unknown to me before and my interest in them has survived casual Google check out. Those artists are Sia, Goldfrapp and Ivy Levan. And early stuff by Azealia Banks. Amazing voices, great songs, and I love Ivy's aesthetics. Thanks for playing. So you knew all but three of them? Or of all the ones you didn't know, those three kept your interest beyond the one day? No, I was not familiar with many others as well. It's just that I liked these four women that much that I have their music downloaded, Sia especially. She is so talented, she has this massive voice, but before that, she writes great songs, for herself and others as well. For example, she wrote Diamonds for Rihanna. She can be very emotional, her live and studio versions of Breathe Me are out of this world; at the same time, she also did Wild Ones with Flo Rida which was a huge hit and the lyrics are so demeaning to women that Blurred Lines sounds like a Christmas carol in comparison. She's versatile, would be my point. Very sweet as a person. Azealia's 212 is my ringtone:)

Ah, what a great story, all parts of it! Which reminds me, I want to see Lincoln so much, mostly because of Daniel Day-Lewis and Spielberg. The whole cast is brilliant, that is.

Not the David Bowie one. That was on the wall where he was eating brunch . But the other 3 yes. And to further add to that, he changed his FB profile pic to one of him at the same age as the earphone one. Not that exact photo. I don't think he's ever had a profile pic of him as a child.
