It was released to ITunes worldwide 2 weeks ago. So far no date for US radio. Wake Me Up is still climbing and has not peaked  it is #11 right now on Top 40 and should make it at least to #5 before its run is over. It is also climbing on HAC, AAA, and Alternative. Its sales are at 950K. Thanks for the info. I got a huge knot in my stomach when I saw that. I'm so invested in LMD! Do you think LMD will be next? Yes, I do! And I am not even sure You Make Me will be sent to US radio. So far no add date for it all the way into Oct. My feeling is that they needed something for the international market, as songs rise and fall faster there. The US charts move more slowly. My gut tells me YMM is a place holder until the US catches up, then LMD will be released worldwide. My guess is end of October. Now mind you, I know nothing! Just all guessing on my part. ETA: end of October also fits Avicii's pattern of releasing a new single in 2 months. WMU was June. YMM was end of August. I have heard this is very common in EDM. YMM is not burning up iTunes like Wake Me Up did. |

If LMD is ever released as a single, it will not be released for a long time. There is no need for it now. Also, since WMU is doing so well in the US, it is not a likely followup for the US. If "You Make Me" is a big hit in Europe and the UK, then they will almost certainly release it to radio in the US. LMD may or may not be released as a single, and based on the album preview, it has a lot of competition -- TRUE has a lot of possible singles. Certainly not something to hold your breath waiting for. |

I went and watched the You Make Me Vevo - totally simplistic - the video is meh - catchy beat, I guess, but kinda boring overall. I do like Wake Me Up, though.
Guess I'm officially past my prime :-)

Guess I'm officially past my prime :-) Have you seen/heard Avicii's "Levels"? Released late 2011, I think. Cool music - and the video is hilarious. |
