The writer says: Glad he liked it, but I can't really understand what the bolded part means. Pretty sure Tim uses chords in most (if not all) of his music, so this would not be unusual and don't get the darker/brighter either. I'm also pretty sure it's not Nile's bass line, since he plays guitar, but maybe Nile played the bass on it too. Actually Nile has said that he played some guitar lines that Aviici then altered into bass lines with his computer. Nile thought that was really cool. |

My interpretation is that with 'use of chords' he means texture/arrangement which in a 'brighter' way is open, happy, airy - 'darker' would be tight, gloomy, thick, notes much closer together. Does that make any sense? As for the bassline, it is Nile's guitar. He said something that Avicii dropped it an octave and it was funky as hell. |
