Thanks MyS*&@^#r50 and Craazyforadam! I love getting first hand initial impressions. Just find it interesting : ) Did you look at it using your computer? Not sure a phone would do it justice. Just the way it scrolled fascinated me! LOL! |

Thanks MyS*&@^#r50 and Craazyforadam! I love getting first hand initial impressions. Just find it interesting : ) It took me a while to register that I could minimize it for an over all look at it. When you do that, you can see some shadow lines over pretty much everyone...different line directions but almost as if they are all in their own particular jails...that are really just shadows...not real. I could not find any signs of caring in the pic. Eyes are not meeting....closest to a 'real' kiss is a guy kissing his image in the mirror. The 'individual' receiving the most collective attention is the Amanda Lepore fake blow up doll....now that is truly a 4th level Baurdrillardian image lol Interesting that he even had two men approaching behind/through the proverbial hole in a wall [blue plank] NO LOVE NO EMOTION....is that self disgust? Pretending to be real....or acknowledging nothing is real? No character in the whole mural looks remotely happy. Not even pretend happy that I can see....aroused yes but happy ....no. |

Any completely honest and/or thoughtful opinions on the Nocturne tweet? As I understand the artist intent it was to show the banality and soulless nature of club life. Dress up, show off, and listen to the beat without connection. But the staging and photography seems to me to be brilliant. There are a hundred stories there to be told with a minute glimpse. I do admit to a moment of pearl clutching, hey it was 8am and no coffee yet. But my second thought before I really looked at the picture was Adam can do this now, no ban, no screaming Million Moms watching and I felt really proud. And… I really don’t know why but I thought of Dali. Too strong to hang on the dining room wall with comfort but the more you look the more you see. |
