The only other fan name that was in heavy use during the Idol period was Kradison -- fans of Kris Allen, Adam Lambert and Allison Iraheta. This fan combo almost got Adam knocked off Idol in the Top 5 because so many Adam fans who also were Allison fans voted for her to get her into the Final 4 -- leaving Adam in the Bottom 2 that week. That was the first indication that Adam's passionate fanbase might not be large enough for him to win against the core Idol audience who clearly prefer guitar playing white guys and country, soft rock and adult pop music. There was also Kradam for Kris and Adam. On a smaller scale, there was something like Gokbert or Lamkey (can't remember). I think Simon and Ryan at one time or another mentioned Danny had a huge fan base. When Adam was in the bottom 2, some fan groups got together the following week and sent Adam balloons and other gifts. Was it the TALC group that started that? I think that was when Adam and AI discovered Adam had very passionate fans. Remember the picture someone took and posted of the top ten mailboxes? Adam was the only one who had two and spilling over. I'm going to say an extra thank you prayer tonight that I was not aware of the Gokbert or Lamkey terms. I can't even begin to imagine my chagrin. I didn't know that the Kradison label caused the bottom 3 incident. I loved Allison but Gokey, not so much. One of my favorite situations during an interview was when Jim Cantiello was interviewing Kradison before RMT, and being a total flailer while he was doing it, and asked why Gokey wasn't there. Allison cracked up, Adam giggled, and poor Kris looked like he was going to have a stroke. I laughed and laughed. There have been so many fabulous, good just doesn't cover it, times since 1/2009 that it it sometimes boggles my mind. Just like Adam always says, "Can't pick favorites." I have the DVD for Adam's appearances, including group numbers and Ford commercials, but I'd really like to watch top 10 from that year, the whole thing, not groups but definitely judge's comments on each contestant. I was always so focused on Adam that everyone else faded into the background. OK, back to Bama beating TX A&M 42-21 in 3rd quarter. Roll Tide!!!!

Oh, and I also remember the picture of Adam with a room full of fan mail and others having boxes. Can't remember who wrote the article but it was awesome.

OMG! Q3 - I thought I am the only one still remembering this! My info on AdamOfficial.com: Glambert #1868, Valiant Defender of the Sacred Musical Tongue of Our Dark Lord Screamanova #55 yes, I am 12...in case you are wondering... which brings me to another matter re age: I tried to log in here just now and the Proboards INSISTED that I specify a "valid" birthday date... I feel it to be overly invasive, they could've asked if I am over 18 or whatever they need... there is no way I would put in my real full BD on a public forum.... The Minons are the "coolest" fans! Do they still exist? I remember them being my favorites, their name, also. I also remember wondering who/what in the heck TALC was. Now I thank them profusely after every show for the fabulous videos they supply for us. I also remember Adam giving them a shout out right after Idol, he was walking up a few outside steps, one of them, or a few of them, were standing by some umbrella tables and they had some interaction. God, it was 4 years ago so the details are very, very fuzzy. Seriously, I have to go watch this game. ** You do not need to reveal the date -- just check the box on your profile.

Curly: It's free on iTunes, but you do need to be upgraded to the most current version. Then it's pretty easy to find and you can watch the whole thing, or LMD, which is featured.

The concert meet and greets were also dominated by Adam fans. I thought the judges were way off about him having a lack of personality. Though it seems to me that they might have said that about David Cook, too. Some of the comments and even some pictures to indicate Adam was the most in demand at the M&G were: Adam's line was always the longest. There were so many fans around Adam that the fans couldn't see him to find him, whereas the other idols were in plain sight. I don't ever remember any of the judges saying Adam was lacking of personality. He showed personality the first moment he appeared on the screen at the audition: www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5-pXsAQLq4
