How To Purchase and Gift "Lay Me Down" on iTunes

Anyone can send or receive unlimited amount of gifts to one or more people regardless whether they have already purchased the album or song for themselves!

To the right of Lay Me Down, Under the Heading "Price" and next to "Play" click the down arrow and you will see "Gift This Song" on the list. Select this. It will lead you to a window headed "Send An iTunes Gift.

1. Fill-in the To: Line with the person's e-mail address you are sending to.
2. Next is the Sender line. Fill-in your name, if it is not already listed
3. Message: If you want to send a few words.
4. Make sure to the right you choose "Send Now."
5. Click Next and you can select a Category. Default is iTunes. Leave it on the default.
6. Click Next and it will confirm your Gift.
7. If everything looks correct. Click "Buy Gift."

You can only gift one at a time, but remember you can do this an unlimited number of times. They all count toward charting!!

About the charts....

LMD has its best chance to chart on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Songs but it will need to do it mostly on sales.

This chart is composed of the week's most popular current dance /electronic songs, ranked by radio airplay audience impressions as measured by Nielsen BDS, sales data as compiled by Nielsen SoundScan, streaming activity data by online music sources tracked by Nielsen BDS and reports from a national sample of club DJs. Songs are defined as current if they are newly-released titles, or songs receiving widespread airplay and/or sales activity for the first time.

If LMD sells over 60,000 units, it should make the BB Hot 100. Non-single, album tracks such as LMD rarely chart on the Hot 100. It would be a real stretch for LMD to sell at this pace in the US. But let's see what today brings!

Avicii, Adam Lambert Release New Song

The new track, "Lay Me Down," is already a No. 1 hit in Finland.



Avicii's new CD, True, is ready to drop on Tuesday, and it includes a treat for Adam Lambert fans.

The Swedish DJ teamed up with producer Nile Rodgers for the track "Lay Me Down," which premiered online last week and has already shot to the No. 1 spot in Finland. True will be released by PRMD Music and Island Records.

"I really fell in love with his voice,” the 24-year-old DJ said in the Belfast Telegraph. "He just captured something on that first take."

"I need someone to do a lead vocal so I call Adam Lambert," added Rodgers, who contributed guitar on the funky, EDM dance-hybrid.

The American Idol season-eight alum wraps his vocals around the lyrics -- a collaboration between himself, Avicii, Rodgers and Ash Pournouri -- which state that "life is a dance."

"Lay me down in darkness/Tell me what you see," Lambert sings. "Love is where the heart is/Show me I'm the one, tell me I'm the one that you need."

Avicii Wanted To Work With Nile Rodgers 'Way Before' Daft Punk

EDM superstar Avicii shocked the world with "Wake Me Up," the country-tinged lead single off his debut album, True. And it seems that is only the beginning of his experimentation on the album, coming September 17.

Looking farther down the track list, another surprising but promising collaboration comes on "Lay Me Down" with Nile Rodgers and Adam Lambert. Rodgers most recently garnered attention for his work with Daft Punk, but 24-year-old Tim Bergling clarified to MTV News that his interest in working with Nile started long before the release of "Get Lucky," and he doesn't see any similarities between the two tracks beyond their shared success.

"The first time I met Nile was at my Radio City show a couple of years ago, that was before I heard anything about collaborations with Daft Punk," Avicii clarified. "A lot of people mention it like, now that Daft Punk has worked with him, now everyone is going to work with him too, but for me I had always been a fan, and I always wanted to work with him, from way before that."

The choice to use Adam Lambert's voice on the track came directly from Rodgers, and luckily, Avicii finds Lambert's voice to be "truly incredible," saying, "I've heard a lot of vocalist and he is really rare, such a talented vocalist — and he killed that song."

While "Lay Me Down" is Avicii's first track with Nile and Adam, the Swedish producer is already looking to include them on his hard at work on his second album.

Brian May, Roger Taylor and Adam Lambert have arrived in Las Vegas and enjoyed the first day's rehearsal together, ahead of their much-anticipated performance at the iHeart Radio Festival at the Grand MGM this coming Friiday - 20 September. Adam once more lends his stupendous vocals to Queen, stepping into the considerable shoes of the late, great Freddie Mercury
