Pardon my confusion, but does anyone have a good idea just when QAL will be performing? The Yahoo site that will be streaming the video says the concert is from 7:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Another source I saw (don't remember who or where) said Queen would perform at 10:00 ET. Another comment said they are closing the show. Another comment said they are performing for 45 minutes. None of this matches! Do folks who have tickets have any concrete information? I would love to know this too. 7pm Vegas time is 11am in morning here in Oz so at least not middle of the night for a change whatever it ends up being. |

It looks like Winstar is opening up new rooms this fall. Hopefully this is true and you guys can all get rooms!

Such an exciting day here in Adamland! I have done my fan duties for the day at this point, AND listened to the full #True Album.
Just a few notes about that:
I had only heard LMD so tried to listen with a non-bias slant, LOL
Basically, I think it is OK. I really like that Avicii is not afraid to bend genre and also let the vocals shine through, for the most part.
What I wasn't expecting was for so many/much of the songs to be slow... not really the LMD EDM through thread I was expecting. I like the vocal parts, and many of the synth/music, but to be honest, the synth/music was more than I need and started to sound alike. But I am sure to an EDM fan they can discern the differences. I will need to listen again to see if I pick-up on more nuances.
My conclusion, Adam aside for a moment, is that LMD truly is the best track on the album if what you are looking for is a song that maintains its EDM upbeat groove Vibe for the WHOLE song fairly consistently. Some I would get into the EDM groove in one part, only to be taken down to slow in others on the same song. And add Adam's vocals and diverse lyrics and it just seemed to be the most interesting of them all.
So, really, no wonder that track is getting good reviews.
Now we have Queenbert to look forward to. I believe this is the month some DJ's in the US and some other reluctant peeps will start to embrace Adam openly. A turning point as many of you have also alluded to. And if he can get a new single out in a timely fashion that is really good in its own right the gates will open wide for him. I wonder why he can't release a single even if there is no A3 finished yet. Avicii for example did, so do you think Adam ever would, or could???
AND, Congrats to everyone going to Vegas. I too am envious:-))))))))

I just had a flipping heart attack. Still trying to get a ticket for Iheart. (hope springs eternal) and the agent says oh yes we have two one in section B, that is right B, let me reserve that for you! I scream he types. Oh he says it is not letting me get it, let me check with a supervisor. (phone silence for 3min 6 sec) Comes back with an apology it was a glitch in the system.
Excuse me I must lie down now.
psst DH would be very unhappy if I bought Stub Hub. Plus Winstar.

The letter the iHeart contest winners got said Quuen was the finale. I hadn't thought about it before, but is it possible they are performing their regular set, then coming back for a finale with special guests? You know what that wouldn't be shocking to me at all. I hadn't thought about that as a possibility either but it would make sense. Queen's done that kind of thing before, granted it was when they had a huge part of organizing the concert. In 2003 they did the 46664 concert for Nelson Mandela they had a small acoustic moment near the beginning (RT singing Say It's Not True with Brian and Dave Stewart accompanying on the guitar) and then midway through after a speech by Nelson Mandela they did a brief medley before coming back on at the end for another 4-5 songs with special guests. I wonder if QAL does something near the middle and then Katy Perry closes the show and invites Queen back on for Killer Queen and then everyone for WWRY/Champions or Bo Rhap or something....Interesting. I don't think it's likely but it's definitely interesting and not out of the realm of possibilities... |
