The Urban Dictionary, gurl was for "goin in." LOL! I think Adam wrote a lot of these lyrics for LMD!! I always thought he did. I think yesterday someone suggested he might have been given the song and lyrics to sing but to Adamize it. Possibly just changing a word or a phrase. And then Adam getting equal credit for writing even if he just "Adamized" it. The lyrics sounded too much like Adam, and not at all what I would think Nile would write. Wow. Two tweets. Wow, wow, wow!!!! I am sure Adam wrote some of these lyrics because he tweeted that he did. And they are similar to his lyrics on other songs. But getting a writing credit does not mean that a singer actually wrote anything. The US and most other countries' royalty systems were designed to pay songwriters not performers. Goes back to the days of sheet music. Some performers require that they get writing credit for all songs they record. I believe that Elvis' manager Col Parker is responsible for making this part of the business... Many current pop singers have their names on songs that they did not actually write.

I've been singing the lyric "goin' in" and I've always understood the phrase (going in/go or goes in) to usually mean giving your all and your best, hittin' it hard, gettin' shit done (in a magnificent way), snatching wigs and taking names, etc. Or, to quote one of the definitions nonotme and stampsgal found, "enter into an activity with unparalleled enthusiasm and fervor," but with the added meaning that the person is also excelling at whatever they're doing. A variation/offshoot of that slang is "went in." "Went in on" or "to go in on" someone/something is sometimes used in a negative, aggressive way, though. Also, sometimes "going in" can just mean "acting crazy or being outrageous."
I expect Queen and Adam will be goin' in Friday night!
I think "going in" complements the "get your life" lyric---both about taking charge, getting it together, making things happen, and going after the good things in your life with gusto.
I agree with the comments about how interesting it is to see Adam revisiting in his lyrics certain themes that are important to him. I really love the "leave it out of the frame" line that echoes his "no boxes, labels, or limits" message.
I have so many favorite lines in this song. It's the best song to sing along to and dance and just feel!
I never woulda guessed he was singing "tasty luck."

Still makes more sense to me lol so I'll probably keep it that way. I do the same thing with banshee/dancy boys and dancy girls.
