There was talk of adding an 8th song. Now that the set looks to be 35min Adam may very well be doing 7/8 of those  ![]() |

But this isn't "Adam's set". This is Queen's set. And Adam is fortunate that Brian and Roger asked him to perform with them at this concert. There are a bunch of artists appearing at iheartradio who could have sung lead vocals in place of Adam. Elton, Nate, Matthew Bellamy of Muse could have all taken a turn at a song or two. Or someone else could have flown in just for the occasion (e.g. George Michael). Personally, I'm thrilled that Adam is getting to sing at such a high profile event, with no hit single, or album about to be released, or even a recording contract. This is a great opportunity for him. And I don't think Brian deserves to be called a whore just because he and Roger asked Nate to sing lead on one song. Adam could have gotten one song; it sounds like he's going to sing 6 (out of 7). Sounds like a good thing to me. YMMV. I've got no problems with others doing songs with Queen - my issue is the song I love Adam on STL... ok will stop pouting now. It's all good. I think you're not ALONE here! I also want him to show off STL in Vegas.. but whatever |

I've seen here and elsewhere disappointment that .fun will also be performing with Queen, one person (not here) even saying she thought about not attending when she heard (yikes!). But it was said all along and I believe clarified by Brian and/or Roger that there would be other special guests. I'm just happy that apparently Adam will be part of all but one of their songs. And he'll blow Nate away! I can't watch the stream or I'd probably be kicked out of the house, so I'm hoping for great reports from everyone to tide me over until I can watch vids! |

HI, I was going to stay silent but, well, here I am...
First, to me this is an Adam centric site and to that end we will all have different reactions, feeling, emotions, hopes and perspectives about this event tomorrow. Most especially, hopes and dreams for what I/we wanted/hoped for Adams involvement in this concert. Looking at myself here. I had dreams about what I hoped he would sing, how many songs and etc. While my rational mind knows it would be a shorter set and knew there would be guest/s, my dreams side had a much more verbose Adam centric mind set.
I am actually glad there has been leaks/info about tomorrow so I can sort out the reality vs my hopes ahead of time. This way I can work through any disappointment - if there is/was any - ahead of time. I see many squeeing, many in-between, and some disappointment or mild disappointment.
I was initially disappointed as I work through my own fantasy Queenbert set for tomorrow, the reality of what we may/are getting. And as mentioned, I am glad I can work through this today, so by tomorrow I will be happy with whatever we get:-)
For me personally, it is not so much that Fun will be involved with a song/s because I knew from the promo there would be guest/s but it is the set list. Queen has so many songs, and so we all want to hear different things. And again, since I am Adam centric I was concerned at not seeing WWTLF or TSMGO shining through the prospective list. I really hope for at least one of those, and that would be my biggest hope... and then all else can follow...
While it is the name "Queen" that is the initial draw I suspect for the concert promoters, I also agree with justgills post about "the phone was ringing off the hook with people wanting to see that PAIRING!"... and this "but I truly believe that Adam is there as much for his own worth, as Queen's charity."
So what I am trying to say is as we all work through our various emotions to the news today, I hope we can lend support and understanding to each other as people work through their respective emotions at the news. I imagine by tomorrow we will have worked this through and be back to full on flail as the event ensues tomorrow night. Rock on:-)

I've got no problems with others doing songs with Queen - my issue is the song I love Adam on STL... ok will stop pouting now. It's all good. I think you're not ALONE here! I also want him to show off STL in Vegas.. but whatever All of us are greedy. and wand Adam to sing everything (5 hours would be great!).. but look at the bright side: Adam now has a new friend and admirer - Nate from Fun. (How do I know this? ....simple historical extrapolation  ) |

Aww, I'm so sorry you had to give your ticket up. I understand bronchitis and it not anything to mess with. Feel better and bask in the streams that will be produced. But nothing like the real thing. Thank you! |
