Talon, I have a question for you! Why do you think Queen is doing this show? They don't have to "payback" any radio stations for spinning a past single. And I am inclined to believe that they don't give a f*ck if radio spins any future singles! So why are they there? Could it be to raise interest for a "special event" or 2 in the US? Knowing what I know about this concert, I am stumped as to why they are doing it!

I had to look up Nate Ruess and fun. I like their songs, and Nate has a high range. Is there any possibility that Nate will or can outsing Adam? Puleeez. Check out the two singing the same Queen song. -stuff- No offense I think the audience are more likely to just enjoy the performance and song than scrutinize over who's out singing who... it's all about the music, all about having fun

OK. Second and third impressions.
Wow. Just listened to Nate interview and singing and changed my mind completely. Seems like a really honest, sweet, gentle guy. Thinking Adam will like him and is happy Nate has been given the opportunity.

I honestly think there is little motivation except they want to play a bit and they don't want a long tour so they want to hit some of the bigger festivals. Could it involve raising interest for various ideas? (A few shows, an upcoming album or compilation). As for a song for both of them to be a focus? '39, Days of our lives, no one but you, say it's not true, tenement funster, or break free or a kind of magic...

Not sure where the disrespect angle comes in. I actually think it's more respectful the way they are doing it. With multiple guests Queen very easily could have gone on as Queen (with special guests). But they didn't. They are highlighting that Adam is singing with them and that there are others helping. I don't think Queen has shown anything but utter respect for Adam. Some Queen fans not so much but the band has never been disrespectful to Adam in my opinion. I guess I have to go back and read all the comments carefully now to see the "disrespect angle" comment. For me personally, I don't see it as disrespect. How can I? It's an HONOR for Adam to be asked to perform with Brian and Roger again. Doesn't matter what Adam fans wishful thinking, ultimately it's Brian & Roger's decisions to do as they like. I know the highlight is Queen & Adam Lambert, so I'm grateful he will sing most of the set. I'm the opposite of yours talon, I like Adam's STL better than FBG and I'd like to see his STL rendition again in Vegas. So if they can switch the songs, I'm a happy fans for Queen & Adam .. hey.. don't blame me for being a little greedy Bri & Rog can pick anybody they want to perform with them again and they choose Adam. As an Adam fans, I'm grateful. btw: talon, I just watch Nate's A Whole New World YT www.youtube.com/watch?v=CB2NaoFIgqE&feature=player_embedded ... it's painful. But I'm still looking forward to see them sing side by side on MGM stage.

I think this will be a great set. I think Queen has been wonderful to and for Adam. And I sure hope no Adam fans are lambasting Queen on twitter and making Adam indirectly and us directly sound like entitled ungrateful nuts. Great way to lose good will. I sure hope not.. it's been advertise everywhere that there will be Queen & Adam Lambert and special guest stars.

Seeing it seems like Adam and mr FUN are going to be in close proximity vocally come tomorrow I thought people might be interested in a bit of comparative analysis that Cassie did when I asked her about him a while ago. You can read full post here: www.adamtopia.com/post/192899Hahaha, I totally forgot I had done that. So, I listened to him again, and wrote about it here again, and at least it seems I am fairly consistent in what I think. No competition for Adam, IMO. One obvious for me cassie, before I even went to watch ADAM's Radio Gaga, Nate sounded like he's gasping for air (out of breath). I'm surprise you mentioned that he has range, to my untrained ear he sounded like forcing himself to hit those higher notes. And he sounded like Marc Martel. So I'm not sure why people comparing him to Adam.

There have been some sites where some glamberts have expressed outrage and that I heart and Queen were slapping them in the face to have someone else up there too. Not here though As for Glee I highly doubt it. Roger was asked about a Glee take and he said Glee wasn't his thing that there was way too much surround on the show. He said he did love the Happy Feet cover of STL (Brittany Murphy)

Well, another way to look at it is Adam is included in more . . . Singing not just with Queen (in tihe "classic rock" box) but with Fun, too (in the contemp pop box) . . . Or, like on the RR Hall of fame award shows, great musicians and singers unexpectedly paired for one of a kind musical moments . . . That really is how I see it. (OR, maybe Brian and Roger read the "cool grandfather" comment and said, "Let's call Fun . . . ") Lol I winced when Adam said that about Brian and Roger knowing they might see the comment .. :
