Hahaha, I totally forgot I had done that. So, I listened to him again, and wrote about it here again, and at least it seems I am fairly consistent in what I think. No competition for Adam, IMO. One obvious for me cassie, before I even went to watch ADAM's Radio Gaga, Nate sounded like he's gasping for air (out of breath). I'm surprise you mentioned that he has range, to my untrained ear he sounded like forcing himself to hit those higher notes. And he sounded like Marc Martel. So I'm not sure why people comparing him to Adam. I said he has range because he is hitting some C5s in full voice, which is rare for a male singer. But, range isn't everything, or, to me, even the most important thing. It doesn't matter how high one can sing. Does it sound good? Does it feel good? Do you enjoy it? I agree with you that Nate frequently sounds like he is straining and pushing to hit those high notes. There is a lot of tension in his voice, which produces sympathetic tension in my body when I listen to it. I almost never hear a similar tension or strain in Adam's voice. It is one reason his voice FEELS so good when I listen. Many people seem to compare singers based on range primarily. I don't get it.

Talon, I have a question for you! Why do you think Queen is doing this show? They don't have to "payback" any radio stations for spinning a past single. And I am inclined to believe that they don't give a f*ck if radio spins any future singles! So why are they there? Could it be to raise interest for a "special event" or 2 in the US? Knowing what I know about this concert, I am stumped as to why they are doing it! I honestly think there is little motivation except they want to play a bit and they don't want a long tour so they want to hit some of the bigger festivals. Could it involve raising interest for various ideas? (A few shows, an upcoming album or compilation). As for a song for both of them to be a focus? '39, Days of our lives, no one but you, say it's not true, tenement funster, or break free or a kind of magic... I wish Brian will sing Love of My Life with Freddie's on the background again. And I agree with you on the bold part above. It's possible they're testing the water in the US for a few shows. And how about that Freddie's songs that they want to release?

Well, another way to look at it is Adam is included in more . . . Singing not just with Queen (in tihe "classic rock" box) but with Fun, too (in the contemp pop box) . . . Or, like on the RR Hall of fame award shows, great musicians and singers unexpectedly paired for one of a kind musical moments . . . That really is how I see it. (OR, maybe Brian and Roger read the "cool grandfather" comment and said, "Let's call Fun . . . ") Lol I winced when Adam said that about Brian and Roger knowing they might see the comment .. : For all we know maybe Roger and Brian call themselves Adam's grandfathers! Cool grandfathers isn't necessarily a dis. I think with age comes wisdom so to be called a grandfather isn't bad.

Not sure where the disrespect angle comes in. I actually think it's more respectful the way they are doing it. With multiple guests Queen very easily could have gone on as Queen (with special guests). But they didn't. They are highlighting that Adam is singing with them and that there are others helping. I don't think Queen has shown anything but utter respect for Adam. Some Queen fans not so much but the band has never been disrespectful to Adam in my opinion. I see not a slightest bit of disrespect anywhere in this situation! First of all Adam is not their "official" lead singer (and he is the first NOT to want that role); Queen had a guest performer at the Moscow concert - did it diminish Adam's role in any way? They are advertised as Queen+Adam Lambert and other guests - so, to me Adam is part of the "core" attraction... Having Fun fans concentrating on the set is only a WIN for Adam. So, in my book - the whole thing is made of WIN!!!!

Without Queen, Adam would not have seen the stage of iHeart, main or side. Def. not 2013. Let's just hope that he can get himself there one day.
Music is music is music.

Some interesting information. Keith Caulfield - Associate Director of Charts at @billboard Keith Caulfield @keith_caulfield Why doesn't @avicii give "featuring" credit to the guest vocalists on his albums/songs, a la @davidguetta? Keith Caulfield @keith_caulfield I ask because @aloeblacc would have a top 10 hit single on the @billboard Hot 100 w/ @avicii, but Avicii doesn't give Blacc artist credit. Kerri Mason @kerrilmason @keith_caulfield Management believes it takes focus away from Avicii. Those were the terms before anyone hit the studio. Keith Caulfield @keith_caulfield I have my @avicii answer, thanks to @kerrilmason's @billboard cover story last week… shop.billboard.com/products/billboard-back-issue-volume-125-issue-36 … Keith Caulfield @keith_caulfield .@avicii's manager says "I wanted to make Avicii a huge artist, not a DJ. Therefore, I did not allow any features on our own records." Keith Caulfield @keith_caulfield .@avicii's manager continues: "Obviously everyone didn't accept this…but I stood firm." Keith Caulfield @keith_caulfield More: "Before going into sessions, I would state these terms and if they weren't agreed to, we'd turn down the opportunity to collaborate." Keith Caulfield @keith_caulfield So, ultimately, @aloeblacc, @nilerodgers, @adamlambert, etc. all agreed on the "no featuring" credit with @avicii. Keith Caulfield @keith_caulfield Read more from the @avicii @billboard cover story: www.billboard.com/articles/columns/code/5695108/avicii-the-billboard-cover-story …

Cool grandfathers isn't necessarily a dis. I think with age comes wisdom so to be called a grandfather isn't bad. I winced because I vaguely remember Roger (I think) saying something about appreciating the fact that Adam doesn't see them as being much older or something along those lines.. I can't remember the exact words now, but got the impression that they appreciated being seen more as equals versus old enough to be his ... fill in the blank. I personally don't see it as a diss, but had to laugh at rama's comment because of what Roger had said..
