RE: my reaction to other people (in this case Nate but could have been anyone) performing with Queen at iheart... I allow myself the luxury of expressing my often child-like, passionate, emotional first impressions of information that arrives on this site. These initial impression reactions are definitely not logical or factually correct, or even often fair...usually I am initially rediculously protective and defensive of Adam, wanting him treated like a superstar, and usually a lot of people write responses of disagreement... I do not share these reactions on twitter, or with anyone outside of this Adamtopia forum. It absolutely IS rediculous to complain with the expectation that Adam be treated like the King of the Universe. I am fully aware of that I assure you all. Within about 30 minutes after that initial impression my thoughts take on a much more mature, level headed open minded perspective and I share those as well. However, I am interested in first impressions and I allow myself that childish reactive moment on this site. So, I thank people here for bearing with me. From here on out I will try to put "Child-like passionate first reaction" above such a post so other peeps don't feel they need to respond with vehement opposition...I get it. I have noticed your rationality and I have to say I like it:) But, for some reason, I don't mind it that much when people behave irrationally on Twitter or forums... even when I disagree completely with them or when I think they're being rude. It's not that serious, they are cyber amusement parks, with an occasional tap into life changing seriousness, like the Nile/Adam/Sam, 'it all began with a tweet' story. Then it's miraculous:) I see that the influence of Twitter is growing, we'll see how that goes. Also, if you let that get to you that much, that means you're emotional, not rational in that case. Just like me, bb:))) It get to me on some logical level rather than emotional, and then it just leave a bad taste inside my mind. Maybe I'm not so good fan after all? Becuse I can't react so emotionaly to things that happen to Adam like other fans can? Sometimes I feel like scientist, I want simply observe from distance and don't be involved. And then I have this need to comment something, but still I think that my comments are rather short and dry, nothing like other fans. My mother always says that I'm study in contradictions - how can you be an artist when you are so rational? And I don't know really. I'm almost like Spock who is a painter - just weird  I think that it's great, and that a scientific approach to stanning/fanning is as legitimate as the squeeey, flaily one. Often times even better and certainly providing more valid arguments. As for the short and dry comments - sometimes they're the best ones! |
