I have been catching up on GLEE. I have watched Season 1 and Season 2 (22 episodes each) in the last few weeks and am now on Episode 7 of Season 3. Normally there are about 7 to 8 songs a show on the ones I have watched so far. Songs are frequently used to drive plot and to express character feelings (as in classic movie and stage musicals). About the name, I get it now, thanks to Q3. Maybe his parents were hippies or movie stars. I tried to catch up -- fail. I'm also trying to catch up on Breaking Bad so changed direction and am watching that before I try Glee. I'm hoping there's a website somewhere that will give a season synopsis -- please! I found a good Glee season/episode guide here, though I confess I haven't read much yet. Seriously...only 4 songs on an hour (ok 43 minute) episode of GLEE. Normally there are more than that. So I wonder if this is complete. Also "Starchild"???? OK, better than "Tinkerbell". But what kind of character is Adam playing? This does sound like a "drag queen" name. So maybe they were planning on Adam playing a drag queen...and haven't changed the character's name on this song listing. I do like "Marry the Night". Much better song, and much better for Adam. Some lyric snippets from marry the night... "I'm a warrior queen"

Personally I think Marry the Night is ONE VERY WEIRD SONG... that I can hope will make more sense with Adam's take on it, within a story line context. :so :oI'll double that Seoulmate and up you two (It sure had a bazllion youtube hits...the last of which was a partial of mine. The long video in the stretcher and the EMA performances of MTN were so bad or so weird, I had to try other youtubes. The song on the album is much better, maybe because I was not distracted with visuals.) I started watching Glee when it was first out,,,and my interest petered out to the point I taped it, or did not even bother with taping. Believe it or not ...I would listen to the first bits of the songs and if interested, I listened.M ore often than not, I fast forwarded through the taped singing/dancing, going for the story line. The number of songs, allowed me to get through the taping pretty fast.  
NOW>>>Whatever Adam is as a character, whatever he sings, I will now be WATCHING with the same anxious/excited level of anticipation as always when he performs on TV....AND I will be taping, watching and re-watching.
,,,,whether he is "Starchild" from Planet Fierce..."Star Child" or "Child Star" gone astray...whatever!

Starchild.....with a name like that, all past guesses on what role Adam would play have been blown clear out of the stratosphere! You can't have a teacher named Mr. Starchild at McKinley High.....or a Broadway actor named Starchild playing opposite Rachel in "Funny Girl"......but a glam rock star?! Yessssssss....just wonder how he will play Kurt's nemesis....will Kurt leave Nyada and go home?
