Given the day is a Queen + AL day, I thought while you were waiting you might want to take a listen to a new song from Roger's upcoming solo release (in November now) www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03b2vrfIt debuted on the Chris Evans Show in the UK and it is about 1 hour and 7 minutes in...it's called "Sunny Day" (I usually keep this stuff to the Queen thread but figured on a day where Queen and AL play together why not ) Thanks!! I really like Roger's voice. You're welcome!

I hope that Glee treats the name Starchild with the amusement it deserves so that it's clear they're in on the joke. Otherwise it's going to come across like an old episode of one of those TV cop shows from the late 60s when they tried to portray hippies. My brothers and I grew up in Utah and had no contact with actual hippies, but even we knew that those attempts were laughable. The actor-hippies would sit around looking all dreamy-eyed and saying things like, "You need to feel the love from the universe, man!" to the actor-cops, who would roll their eyes and persist in trying to get information about the crime. It was embarrassing.
I hope the Adam character is allowed to laugh at his own name, as any child of counter-culture types might do as a grown-up. (David Carradine and Barbara Hershey's son was given the name Free Seagull at birth but changed it to Tom when he got old enough to say, "Like hell I'm going through life with a name like Free Seagull!")

RE: my reaction to other people (in this case Nate but could have been anyone) performing with Queen at iheart... I allow myself the luxury of expressing my often child-like, passionate, emotional first impressions of information that arrives on this site. These initial impression reactions are definitely not logical or factually correct, or even often fair...usually I am initially rediculously protective and defensive of Adam, wanting him treated like a superstar, and usually a lot of people write responses of disagreement... I do not share these reactions on twitter, or with anyone outside of this Adamtopia forum. It absolutely IS rediculous to complain with the expectation that Adam be treated like the King of the Universe. I am fully aware of that I assure you all. Within about 30 minutes after that initial impression my thoughts take on a much more mature, level headed open minded perspective and I share those as well. However, I am interested in first impressions and I allow myself that childish reactive moment on this site. So, I thank people here for bearing with me. From here on out I will try to put "Child-like passionate first reaction" above such a post so other peeps don't feel they need to respond with vehement opposition...I get it. Love, Skylar Skylar, I like when you post. It's often going to be an opinion that sparks reactions here--something not bland and sometimes unexpected. Most assuredly, there is someone who shares your "child-like passionate first reaction." And others will let you know they disagree (to put it mildly). We all process things differently. I usually take forever to put out an opinion and then read everyone else's thoughts first. So I respect someone who can put their opinions out there even if I don't agree. As long as things are respectful--I'm good. Thanks Holst : ) Yes, my inner child wants professional Adam treated as King of the Universe (and will always want that for as long as he stays humble) and my mature self works to state it respectfully. Not biased at'al. Just don't mess yanno. : ) PS. LOOOVE the name "Starchild"
