Have you guys noticed that the voice is really out & pronounced? So if some here say Nate was flat, I believe it! I just can't wait til Adam is on! Right now its Keith Urban. I'm not into country but he seems to have more charisma than Nate..of course YMMV

You guys are a tough crowd. LOL. I think I will withhold judgement until we get someone I have heard before so I can judge the general sound quality. Well, I'm back from hibernation. Love "Lay Me Down" and will dl the whole TRUE album. It reminds me of the way I can listen to Moby's "Play" straight through. I think Adam's got an amazing voice too plus massive stage presence but I don't think every other band needs to be dissed. So much negativity! Nate Ruess and fun. have been around for ages. His duet with Pink, "Give me a reason" was also a big hit. He has a big voice - a bit shouty imo, but still kind of cool and is a good songwriter. As for Robin Thicke, he's incredibly talented and weirdly reminds me of Adam in some of his interviews. They're worth watching. Also a great songwriter - some of his collabs with Lil Wayne are beautiful. "Oh Shooter" is a fav. Maybe I'm just more sanguine about the other bands; it's not a competition. Thank you guys for the livestream link, it's really clear. That crowd will be wicked drunk by the time Queen+ rolls around lol. |

I installed the Tunnel bear app suggested on page 6 on my ipad. Working! Oops, didn't read the fine print, only works for a short time for free. Bought the 1 month service for $2.99, hope that works scroll by please edit for KIM ...well by accident it loaded anyway ..can't figure it out hopefully by midnight I can!kim...if you are still around. I installed it on my ipad, and I did the email confirmation. It wants me to >> install profile (small blue box)...and it says Installing this profile will change settings on your ipad. Is that what your installation said? AND YOU DID IT? ...Yikes hate to click this button even though I did all the registration stuff etc. I will wait before doing anymore more on my ipad. |

I don't like country music, but I like Keith, probably because he is more rock-country. He's a good guitarist, too. And easy on the eyes.  |

If Adam ever (I know I know) but IF he ever did a duet with a country person I think Jennifer Nettles would be nice. She did do Who Said You Can't Go Home with Bon Jovi and I did like it. I read somewhere she wanted to sing with Adam. And I bet something with Kid Rock would be interesting. j/s |

I'm not a big country fan, but I do like Keith. He sounds much better here than he did on Idol last season!! Think they have a top-notch sound system!! Yay for good sound!!!  |

fun. is definitely more of a studio band. But they look alive and he's performing it well. Not the best live voice but there's been much worse... A studio band as in sounds better with the help of all the studio engineering stuff?? I agree. I can imagine him taking the big song like Somebody to Love. Adam was famous with his generosity to his duet partner, so he will hold back in his singing when they're on stage for FBG.  |

Couldn't Queen pick a better singer to join them on STL & FBG? Nate is just ok, not wowing me at all. There are other singers I would have loved to see sing with Queen like maybe Elton John or Paul McCartney or even Bruno Mars for something totally different. I think they were looking for something new. They've worked with Elton before. Paul might not show up til tomorrow although I would love that combo. that AND fun. has long been spouting their admiration of Queen and they had reached out to Queen to play with them at the Grammys. I think when schedules didn't work out, Brian said they'd try again sometimes..and well here was the opportunity. Brian loves playing with everyone. I think here though you have to remember that Adam is a VOICE. Nate is a good voice but more a singer/songwriter. I mean it's two different categories. Adam is in the diva category. You wouldn't compare Adam to Bob Dylan for example...(not that Nate is that bad vocally - it's just a different category) If Brian wanted to try something different, I think it would have been interesting for them to perform with someone like Keith. The Band Perry does a fun version of Fat Bottomed Girls -- it lends itself well to a rock-country treatment. Just a thought. |
