Talon, fyi, I got my son interested in Queen several years ago. I was playing their music, and he asked who they were. He knew some of their songs, but just the well-known ones. He listened to them on youtube and thought they were really, really good, especially Freddie. He immediately downloaded a couple of their albums.

Quick story re Queen and Adam - girlfriend worships Freddie, he is her favorite male singer and loves Queen. When they played their last round of gigs I sent her video of Adam doing WWTLF and she emailed me back that it gave her chills and though she hated to say it Adam sang it better than Freddie (huge for her to say that). Not that I think he did - different isn't better, but got to say Adam's version does give me chills as it one of my all time favorite Queen songs from movie I've always loved (Highlander). So glad it is in the set tonight - will be quite something for audience to hear that live.

Elton is still awesome. I saw him in concert here when in my late teens and just after he released Yellow Brick Road and he looked like this when he first came on stage.  lol... and people think Adam is OTT *snorts* OMG!!!!!!! I so would have loved that!!!!!! And, I'm *snorting* along with you...hahahahahahaa!! He opened our outdoor concert with this!!!!! There was dry ice smoke swirling every which way and the opening bars to Funeral For A Friend playing at it's full theatrical volume and then he just 'appeared' wearing this. In this teenagers very stoned state this was every OMFG, WTAF, awesome, squee, flail, dedz, EPIC moment EVAH!!!!! Well it would have been, if any of those words existed back then...lol |

Just realized Katy Perry is the only female performer tonight. I think she will be the right person to get the crowd all energenized for Queen + Adam Lambert! I still get goosebumps everytime they announce it. Adam must be pinching himself to think that just 4 years ago, his good friend Katy would pimp him "Las Vegas" style with her cape. Loved Katy since then. That was such a shock, and I have to admit, I didn't really know who Katy Perry was at that time...lol! But, I've loved her ever since, also. I know Adam was so excited to see her...he even said so at the time. Wow, she's the only female performer? Didn't even know that. And, I have goosebumps just thinking about them announcing Queen + Adam Lambert!!! It goes together soooooo well!! Woooooooooooooooooo Hoooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!! What a fun night!!
