Completely agree with this. You don't see fans angry with Paul McCartney for continuing to perform Beatles hits, even though John Lennon and George Harrison passed years ago. Is it possible that Adam's stellar singing ticks off some diehard Queen fans because it's so good that he can't be dismissed as just another Freddie wannabe? You make a really good point here. That probably has something to do with it. You just can't dismiss Adam's talent and charisma. You just can't..period. |

Thank heavens for the fan videos! And, of course, recordings of the streams. Doesn't look like iHeart will provide official performance videos, I imagine because of the CW show. The only thing I saw at iHeart today was a short clip (:30) of FBG with the fun. guy. And I'll bet my lunch that will be on the CW show. Hope I'm wrong. Many bloggers showing the whole show stream, though, which is great!
And.... can't wait for Dancy's audio....  Here's my guess about what to expect on the CW broadcast of the iheartradio concert. The show is going to be 2 hours, but about 30-40 minutes of it will be commercials. So that leaves about 80-90 minutes for the actual concert footage. There were 9 main acts (including Robin Thicke's brief appearance). So with the intro to the show and Robin Thicke's appearance (which I think will be shown because "Blurred Lines" is one of the most popular songs of the year), that leaves about 9-10 minutes for each act. For Queen, I expect that STL or FBG will be included. Fun is a popular band, so the producers are probably going to want to show their performance with Queen (personally I hope they use FBG). Then I think they will focus on the best-known Queen songs, so they will likely include WWRY and WATC and one of the partial BoRaps, if there is time. So, here's my prediction for what will be broadcast for Queen: STL or FBG, BoRap (maybe), WWRY and WATC. I wish they would show the whole 32 minutes of QAL, but that is not going to happen. Too many big stars to include in the show. Thankfully we have lots of terrific videos to watch (thanks, Nic!).  I agree and think they'll use STL specifically, because of the audience participation. It will make iheart look good and reflects well on the event generally if they can show the audience getting into it. |

Funny translation. Brian didn't say Adam has "a little effeminate manner". He said Adam is "a little camp". Not really the same thing. Oh well. So much for the Google translator. |

Goulet did have a fabulous voice, mind you....and was "theatrical"! lol eta....well I did something wrong there didn't I ....well suffice to say there is definitely a familial resemblance! |
