I just want to say, belatedly, that I LOVED the QUEEN + ADAM LAMBERT appearance at the iHeart Music Festival, even if I only got to witness it off the yahoo stream. The performance, and the great press and acknowledgement of Adam's talent that has come with it, make me proud to be a fan.
As I am one who has sometimes groused about the facial hair, I have to say Adam looked GREAT. He looked every inch the star that he is,and I understand that maybe the 'stache is there to say: I am no longer the emo guy you may have liked or disliked on Idol, I have grown up, I am a man, and I am here to sing."
Looking at twitter after Friday night's show, I was really pleased to see a number of "Lambert is great" tweets that came not from the usual fans, but from "regular guy" types with profiles that showed them as "family man", "football fan", "sports enthusiast", even for god's sake, "hunter". So it was clear that Adam won over a lot of men who might have never listened to him before.

I get the CW channel. When is the concert supposed to be aired? I know I saw a date and time but can't find it now. My DVR is programmed to record it on Monday, 9/30/2013 at 7-9 PM CT. Big ![]() |

I must say..... It is hard to focus these days. Crossing the road, almost getting hit by a bike, because I was daydreaming about Adam. Trying to make a planning for my new projectteam, but getting nowhere, since I am replaying every song from last weekend in my mind. And secretly refreshing twitter and adamtopia at work, to see whether something new has come up. Seriously guys... how do you do this? I have been following Adam for 3 months now and fully expected it to become less intense. But then Queen + Adam happened, and if anything I got it worse than before. Thank you thank you thank you everyone who posted these wonderfull vids (nic!) and these great recaps. I am very fortune that I was able to see this, from so many different angles. Join the club. It's been four years. I finally gave up on the notion that I would lose interest--a little at least. ![]() |

I want to put an idea out to all of you.. if I may Q3? Someone was asking about artistsupporter, how she manages to be able to attend so many concerts ( from Alaska no less!) and it reminded me of the fact that there are many members on ATOP that have not had the opportunity to attend a live concert of Adam's, and other remote members that because of distance or personal/financial obligations may have only attended one or two. Q3 and I talked about a lottery project several months ago, and I am going out on a limb and suggesting that there are many smart Atoppers that could likely help organize and put together such a venture. The idea that we discussed was setting up a lottery for the equivalent of airfare, hotel , tickets and spending money for two to travel to an Adam event. We as members could buy these lottery tickets, if we chose, on behalf of someone who we would like to see attend ( permission needed as the person would have to make their own travel arrangements should they win. ) We have the New Year's concert coming up, would this be enough time to organize such a lottery in time for that person to make the arrangements? With the pre-sale ending on Friday I would like to suggest the purchase of two tickets to be held for this project, with the permission of Atop mods of course! Am I out of turn to suggest this Q3 on this open forum?? What do others think? I would be happy to purchase the tickets if I could just get the fan club to accept my payment for a new membership...trouble on the site.. Sandy, speaking from someone whose financial situation is beyond deplorable right now, I think this is a wonderful idea. I know I am not the only one having financial problems, but still wanting to see Adam again live. I am actually within driving distance of WinStar and I'm hoping to go, but I'm not sure I will have enough money to even purchase a ticket by this Friday. This would be a great way for people like myself to have a chance to see Adam live again or maybe for the first time! |

I do not get the CW channel, but the festival is being aired on WNLO at 8-10 PM EST. My DVR is set to priority tape any program with 'Adam Lambert' in the title or description. |
