OT but funny to me...Q3 mentioned Macarena which will forever be memorable to me... On a visit to my homeland, my family & I paid a visit to my Dad's gravesite. We were all head-bent saying our prayers when I heard a stiffled giggle and turned around to find my mother stuffing her fist in her mouth, staring at at my then nine-year-old son. He had somehow acquired a huge frog along the way and was kneeling on a bench, singing the Macarena (softly) and putting the poor thing thru the dance steps...OMG... we were all in tears (not sad! ) Needless to say, Josh was spared further graveyard visit thereafter...

I am constantly amazed at the diversity of ears and musical tastes in The Adamtopia membership. Personally, Groban and Buble are like Lawrence Welk, and represent a box I don't want Adam to be in. But, I totally appreciate how popular they are. I guess my tastes run more toward blues and a whole variety of rock. I love those kinds of voices. Takes all kinds to appreciate Adam. There is hope for the rest of the world to finally see what we do. ;-) For me, it wasn't the music Josh was singing.....it was his lovely voice. I loved to hear him sing, even though I was/am not a fan of his chosen music genre (and I am not a Buble fan, so go figure!) But his voice was so calming...soothing....I thought he was so gifted...and he is......but then along came Adam..... ......and now? I have no idea where my Josh music is these days, but I have a very large Adam collection, saved in more than one place...just in case...... I hear ya - my cd collection in the car has a decidedly one-sided bent. And the most songs on my iPod belong to ..... yeah.

Think about that list -- three bonus tracks and Sleepwalker which really is a pop-rock track. Fact is, if you like "rock Adam", his music to date is not your cup of tea. I like ROCK ADAM...I like POP ADAM...I like REGGAE ADAM...I like FUNKY ADAM...I like THEATER ADAM..... I LOVE ANYTHING AFL SINGS!!! THIS!!!!!

Radio doesn't like pop/dance Adam neither. Also Adam's image doesn't match the music he puts out. As much as I love Adam's albums they're not something that would stand the test of time. WWFM was a hit because it was a pop/rock song that showcased Adam's vocals and told a story that most people can relate too. I do hope he goes more alt/rock, rock because that is were he shines the best. If he can get 2-3 songs to cross over to pop that would be even better but I honestly think that Adam needs to stay away from dance music. I also hope he gets a better band that's up to his level. I find that his band members aren't cohesive and pretty much do their own thing. It's time for Adam to upgrade. .... Actually, I believe that Adam's music will stand the test of time. And I do not think most of what is on the top of the pop charts will stand the test of time. Seriously, the #1 song of the year in the world is "Blurred Lines" -- which is the "Macarena" of 2013. Most of my favorite songs never got much radio airplay. We'll have to agree to disagree. I find some of the lyrics of Adam songwriting to be too juvenile, cliche, wordy and messagey. He can do better but that will come with time and working with the right songwriters. I do agree with you that most of the songs being played today wouldn't stand the test of time and I don't see any future legends any time soon either.
