And it's after 3 a.m. and I'm going to bed but I have a question. In yesterday's thread adamrocks posted some old tweets from shoshanna: I have a vague murky memory that Brian actually said something about his reaction when he first heard Adam sing WWTLF. Does anyone else remember this? Am I hallucinating? Gawd... I would have KILLED to be in that rehearsal room when Brian first heard Adam open his mouth and start to sing that song.

Yes, I remember Brian saying that. I think it is somewhere on BrianMay.com but can't find it real quick.

I know it's a poor comparison, but maybe that's the way I feel when I'm taking photographs. I often am doing macro photography where you have to lie on the ground, with your chin in the dirt and your head twisted in an almost impossible angle for a looooooooong time ... and while you're doing this there is so much passion, joy, adrenaline and dedication that you don't feel the slightest pain and you're totally lost in the moment - and yet wholly with yourself. If he means it like this, then I really do understand his tweet....

Hi all.. I am usually just reading here only. Just wanted to share a video I recorded at Avicii's show at XS in Vegas this past Sat night. I was right in front of him... He closed the show with "Lay Me Down" at 3:30am. I was there for 5 hours and waiting to record this.. My iPhone got only 12% battery left but I did it. www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10201500751633581I made this public to share. Monica Fantastic!! And welcome to Adamtopia.

I think that's exactly what he was trying to convey -- we should all be so lucky to have found our passion (home) and to spend our life honing our craft. His tweet made me very happy!

Those who feel it the most, work at it the most because it is intense. I imagine it's similar with the mountain climbers and others that were mentioned upthread.

If he means it like this, then I really do understand his tweet.... Yes! I was thinking about you and your passion for photography! Were you passionate about photography from a young age? I was thinking this: I was thinking how lucky Adam is that, from such an early age, he knew what he loved and what he wanted to do. I mean, how rare is it to have that kind of passion when you're only in elementary school! And how lucky he's been to always have love, support, and encouragement from his family! And how friggin' fabulous for him that he's gotten to perform with Queen and write his own music and travel the world doing what he loves,...what he was fucking born to do! How many of us even remotely approach that? Hell, I'll be dead before I figure out what I want to be when I grow up. So, it was interesting for me that, even knowing all the above, I still felt this little stabby twinge in my heart when he said "My happy place... Where I feel the most like Me." Maybe it was because I immediately thought, "Oh, poor bb... Adam can never really be his authentic self in any other situation." Maybe I was thinking, "Yes, on the stage he is utterly sure of himself. He is in his element and gets nothing but accolades, but in "real life", in the humdrum off-stage life, he feels only half alive, or maybe even feels rejection." Maybe that's why I felt that heart twinge. I have no idea.
