Yep! I just heard it wrong! I like my lyrics change betterer!! ETA: I am blaming this entirely on Adam fogging up my mind with some harmonic brain twisting note!!

I just realized for the first time how hard it is to sing the verses to WRTC correctly.
There are a lot of syllables stuffed in there....particularly in the part I messed up.
I've had my share of sand kicked in my face (10 syllables) But I've come through. (4 syllables)
You brought me fame and fortune and everything that goes with it (14 syllables) I thank you all (4 syllables)
I consider it a challenge before the whole human race (15 syllables) And I ain't gonna lose. (5-1/2 syllables)
The first one is easy to sing. The next two are really hard to sing. But that is really some pretty amazing songwriting. The way it builds and has more words makes it more powerful.
I honestly have heard that song so many times that I stopped listening to the lyrics about 30 years ago.

I wrote my reaction to Adam's tweet before I read all your responses to it. Adam is blessed that he has found an activity, a profession, a calling that makes him happy and that he feels is his true, authentic self. (Weren't we just talking about that a few days ago?)And to find it so young - he absolutely knew by that interview when he was 18. And to have the opportunity to fulfill that calling to the degree that he has. A recent Gallop poll reported "Only 30 percent of American employees feel engaged or inspired at their jobs and the vast majority of U.S. workers -- 70 percent -- are not reaching their full potential." www.cbsnews.com/8301-201_162-57590832/study-most-americans-unhappy-at-work/Do I find it sad? Certainly it can be if we look at other "stars" who have fallen into drug use, become hermits when not onstage, or who kill themselves - austensibly because they have nothing of value once they step off the stage. However, Adam seems to have found a great balance, and has support from other artists who understand the passion and dedication Adam feels, and do not resent it. Cuz, yes, anyone who wants to be part of Adam's life is always going to have to be second behind his performing career. When we try to understand or figure out Adam, it is well to heed what he says in his tweet. When he is performing, ballad, musical, pop, rock, blues, "good guy", "bad boy", innocent, darkly sexual, and anything in between, that is all "ME." Being a chameleon, taking on a role, IS who he is. It's not fake. It's not an act. It is not "selling out." It is being the authentic entertainer and performer that he feels he is at his core. This is true not only of his variety of stage personas, but also his "in the public eye" personas. Life is a performance to Adam in many ways. At least, this is how I interpret Adam, based on people in my life who are passionate, obsessive artists.

DANCYGEORGIA - Thanks so much for creating the audio recordings for us. I tried to access AFLs IheartRadio recording from your link and got an error message - "Decryption error/invalid key". Do I need to create an account first? Or need a login/password to access? Here's the link I tried to use: mega.co.nz/#F!nF8UUDRC!cYAN3gW1be5XHMQfVev7XQlink Same problem when I tried.

He meant, LOOK AT MY ASS , EVERYONE!!!!" That trainer is doing a really, really good job! And he looked very happy in the after party photos. *** Back to the trainer: I actually think that part of the reason Adam sounded so good at iHR and in recent concert is because he seems to be in the best physical shape ever.

He meant, LOOK AT MY ASS , EVERYONE!!!!" His ass looks particularly good in that outfit. I am inspired. I've been working on reducing the size of my ass for 30 days now. Adam inspires me to keep going. Maybe my ass will look a bit better by the time NYE rolls around. All this Queenbert/Lay Me Down goodness makes me even more excited for the Winstar show. He just looks and sounds so FABULOUS. I agree with you Q3. Something has shifted. And it is gooooooood.
