I think this could be Ouroboros (with Adam tattoo history it would have far more sense than some biblical interpretations IMHO), but I need better photo to confirm this suspicion. I agree that it is not likely to be a deep biblical interpretation -- but he did an interview with RS about the cover -- on video somewhere - where he said the use of the snake in the cover photo was his idea and then referred to his name, Adam, in a clear connection to the Adam and Eve story. Adam is very smart about personal branding and about multiple level of meaning. I think it is possible that he chose this specific Snake and Apple imagery to on the simplest level evoke his name through an association with the Garden of Eden story and ADAM. Regarding Ouroboros -- it is a twisted form of a snake, not a circular form. The head is not eating the tail. It would make sense for Adam to use symbolism that goes back to ancient Egypt, but I do not see it. Perhaps this is my ignorance of some other form of Ouroboros. He always says he is "left of centre" and this snake tail is sitting 'left of centre' in the snake mouth....maybe just being silly looking for detail but it makes more sense than a straight up 'Adam/Apple thing, to me...~shrug |

I'm not saying a single word about his tattoo sleeve any more:) As far as I'm concerned, the apple's there because he likes apple pies, and the snake because he likes snake skin boots:)))

I love the tattoo. Did not realize it started up so high on his arm! I wonder if it flows from the cascade of the shoulder tattoo? Hope when it is fully healed, he shows us!
