Gelly @14gelly 1h POPsessions Eli Lieb / @adamlambert mention at the article and VIDEO Adam's tweet and mention music.yahoo.com/blogs/stop-the-presses/popsessions-viral-video-sensation-eli-lieb-pop-culture-191207880.html … Eli Lieb isn't a household name...yet. But with his cover of Miley Cyrus's "Wrecking Ball" having gone viral over the weekend — racking up more than half a million views in its first two days online —he may be well on his way. Even Adam Lambert tweeted his love for Eli's arrangement of Miley's No. 1 hit. The talented singer/songwriter stopped by the "omg! Insider" offices this week where correspondent Keltie Knight caught up with the handsome crooner to get his reaction to his video's newfound success. "Are you surprised at all by the reaction to this cover?" Keltie asked. "Yeah, I think it's always kind of shocking that in two days there's a half a million views," he answered. With this much talent, we certainly weren't shocked. So, we asked Eli to share his pop culture obsessions with us, so we could learn a bit more about him.

Thank you so very much! While listening this song by Adam I am feeling all the greates happiness and deepest sorrow I have had in my life at the same time. Do you have any personal favorite of these performances? ETA: I am in tears.... leena! I love this Adam's Stay -performance. I feel that he really is living words of the song. And it looks as if Adam would have to hold back the tears all the time! Very touching! I would love for Adam to write a song with the guy who wrote STAY. Adam sang it so beautifully...I've not heard anyone sing it better. I get lost in the emotions Adam sings in this song.

HB is one of my least favorites. It is bottom 3 for me. But I pretty much hate everything about the Mumford and Sons pots and pan music trend now! #CaliGirl ETA: With his country twang, HB sounds way more country to me than WMU does. HB sounds more country to me too. I actually don't mind WMU but I can't even get through HB. I reeeaally hate this trend. I just played HB for a friend who country DJ/PD -- he said it was alt rock or pop. So maybe it is a ? If you want to be annoyed by a trend -- what about the sting of viral novelty songs. The latest one -- The Fox is #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and headed up. What The Fox = WTF and it is appropriately named. Expect more from Ilvis because Warner's signed them to a worldwide deal right before their US debut in Las Vegas. That is why they were part of iHeartRadio MF. ETA: Maybe Adam should do a duet with Alvin with the Chipmunks singing backup. I am kidding!!

slow times - with all the critique of Nate Reuss singing STL and FBG, here is another cover of FBG - a country version by the Band Perry. Yeah, Adam does it better Scroll if you like - delete if inappropriate, but I do love musical comparisons. I thought that worked really well as a blue grass version. They did a good job.
