I think that this was not at all an embarrassing moment! I thought it was entertaining and very fun because Adam dealt with it so well! And this was not the first time that Adam was the frontman of Queen. This incident was such a glimpse into Adam, the consumate, experienced performer. Everyone who has been onstage performing knows "the show must go on." "Never let them see you sweat." We were always coached to keep on going, keep on singing, keep on dancing, with a big smile on your face. If you don't draw attention to the goof, many people will not notice it or remember it. I would expect Adam, as a pro, to keep on singing as if nothing had happened. But as a sign of his depth of experience and comfort on the stage, of his understanding of how to entertain and interact with the audience, Adam goes beyond the regular advice for a performer, and incorporates the gaff into his performance. Instead of ignoring it and trying to cover it up, he draws attention to it, laughing at it and enjoying the ridiculousness of it. By doing so, he gives the audience permission to laugh and hoop and holler with him, changing an embarrassing moment to a magical, special, one-of-a-kind shared interchange. He showed me how masterful a performer he is. cassie! Your explanation is perfect!!!

pi, That would be my dream came true .. I've watched Oprah's show "Where Are They Now" and she invites people to make suggestions on who they want to see on the show.. so you never know! When Adam was on Divas, they had him do a huge round of PR on various talk shows and entertainment news programs. He was the official spokesperson for the event. (And did a fantastic job.) It is important for Glee to pick up and move beyond the tragedy of Cory's passing. They do not want members of their audience to think that the tribute episode marked the end of an era with Glee, and stop watching. Also, for a number of audience members, Season 4 was a let down. Their favorite characters had graduated and moved on, and the new kids in high school, by and large, did not grab the interest, love, or loyalty of the viewers. Now is the time for the producers to "reboot" the series and spark new interest. Therefore, do you think TPTB may call on Adam again to make the rounds of entertainment programs prior to and just after the November 7th show? I am hoping we will get not only "behind-the-scenes" videos, but also tons of promotion about and including Adam.

This incident was such a glimpse into Adam, the consumate, experienced performer. Everyone who has been onstage ..... I was there when it happened and because he handled this situation so classy and with his ability to laugh about himself it wasn't embarassing for a second. It was just extremely funny and hilarious Yep! I was there too! And I totally agree with you! (And I love this Shirley Temple image, brings to mind childhood.)

I put this on yesterday's forum, but will post it again in case anyone missed it. The premiere of 'Bridegroom' will be on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) on October 27 at 10 p.m. (not sure which time zone this is). If he donated a song for this movie we will get to hear it then!

Oprah is my favorite woman ever, I admire and love her since I started watching the show in the 80's. She presented the Adam to me and to the whole world and I lost my heart. Really, I'd love to see them together again ..
