Now is someone would just tell the hotel's concierge.

I been out of town, so don't know if anyone posted this from AP, but I thought it was interesting especially since Adam is working on new music. It inspired me to be more diligent about Youtube hits. Seems like young people are listening to music on youtube a lot. A new study from Nielsen that surveyed 3,000 online participants has revealed that teens are using YouTube as their largest source for consuming music and that radio is still the dominant way people are discovering new music. www.altpress.com/news/entry/new_study_shows_teens_listen_to_music_most_through_youtube_radio_still_domi

Aww! cute I loves the pictures from this interview. It was at a radio station not long after Idol and Adam had been sick with the flu right before that, but he still looked so good!

Hi, guys, I made it back, but still have tons of threads to catch up. Read page one and hardly recognized a thing, so I clearly have some interesting times ahead and will enjoy reading about it all. No need to send me spoilers!
Did read today's thread though and got to respond to something.
I have no clue who the particular J is that was called out a few pages ago, whether that is Jessie J or some designer in LA or somebody totally different, but it does not matter, because my point is a general one and whether there is any validity to it in a specific case, is kind or besides the point.
Is it not one sign of people who are a bit contrarian, a bit more divisive, that they will have people who say bad stuff about them? That you will find people who write crap about them, or exaggerate the truth? That you will find the internet full of comment sections that are talking trash about them?
Exactly.
Therefore, is it not the duty of those who want to support those who go against the grain, to turn a deaf ear to the nay-sayers or at least take the comments provided with a grain of salt? Of course it is.
It is exactly the dilemma of the minorities, of the out-casts, that they get so much mud thrown at them, that in fact they do look 'dirty', that the media slams them so much harder, that their art does not look as credible as the next persons, that they do not get a fair evaluation and that therefore public perception is tainted in a negative way. That silent wall that minorities and outsiders face is not a glass ceiling in today's world. It usually is a public mud bath, that they have to take, to then face the public in their soiled state.
So, bottom-line, I know nothing about the specific case or whether he or she was over or under-presented, because I was not here, but I do know, that whenever I hear a comment like this, my sense of fairness just kicks in, and I will give that person an extra chance to make an impression on me, just to stem my inner energy against the prejudice that was prematurely created in my mind by a biased outside world.
This is ultimately the thing that is holding Adam back too, and that is why it worries me to read such stuff here on this site. There are millions who have heard of Adam, but they also heard the mud, and it sticks to him, and they let it cloud their impression and so they don't even give him a chance, or they fear the repercussion, if they stand by him, be that in the school yard, or in a conversation with family and friends or be it a radio station that fears their sponsors and therefore does not play the music of any gay artist.
It's not about wearing purple one day and doing nothing the next. It is about mentally going against the grain of public opinion whenever the situation arises. So, whoever J is, at the moment he/she will have a chance with me, just because I have seen the mud flying. And if it turns out that that person really is a jerk or a waste of my time, well then I'll move on, just like anyone else, but right now, my mental door will remain open. And I come to atop in the hope and knowledge, that I will always find a ton of friends here who think the same way and will usually do the same. And that is why I love it here and now I am done preaching for now.
With that, I'll turn back to reading for now and see what you otherwise have been up to in the last 10 days.

After spending lots of money going to the Windstar New Years Eve there is a great show right in my backyard. Would love to have gone to this but $800 a person is way to much. I hope some of the South Florida peeps not going to the Windstar get to go.

The posts that chameleon and I responded to have since been totally deleted. They were repostings of a tacky interview from years back, I stand by my response.
