For those who don't know.  A friend of mine was one of the founding members. He died. Of AIDS. (I'm sorry to be a downer, but I'm crying right now and you are the only ones I can express it to that would understand.)

grandduchess, I'm sorry, I didn't see your post before I posted the news about Lou Reed. Talk about insensitive . Ah no katycake not at all. My friend died in '86 a long time ago. Just for some reason the YouTube brought it all back. He was an elegant kind man. |

It's amazing how an opened zipper can keep us entertained for hours.  It is looking like the zipper is unable to zip over the package, as the pants look a little tight. Or he might be just airing things out!!! ![]() ![]() </img> |

Grandduchess, I totally understand. I lost my best friend to AIDS 7 years ago. When I watched the Glee tribute episode to Cory Monteith they started out with the song from Rent "Seasons of Love" and that is what my daughter and my friend's nieces and nephew sang at his memorial service. I was in tears the entire show. I'm glad Atop is a place where you can share and be understood. So sorry to hear of both your losses. |

grandduchess, I'm sorry, I didn't see your post before I posted the news about Lou Reed. Talk about insensitive . You're not insensitive at all! First, you said you didn't see grandduchess's post before sharing the news about Lou Reed, so it wasn't purposeful. But even if you had posted your news with full knowledge of what grandduchess said, there's nothing insensitive about it. It's perfectly okay to be sad about more than one thing at a time. Many are mourning Reed's passing. Hey, I'm still sad from hearing about actress Marcia Wallace's death yesterday. Sometimes there is just a lot to be sad about, and nobody thinks you're playing "Top That Woe." We're just all grieving together. |
