I'm not going to buy Roar. They wanted to feature Demi with this song so Adam was just a back up singer. They could have had an awesome unique version of that song if they had let his vocals shine but they went for the generic. It's pleasant enough if you like your music gleefied. I have to wait until 4.00pm to see Ellen on TV but no doubt I'll be seeing it her in 5,4,3,2,1 go! Ahh, and see I'm rather partial to it because I can hear his voice so distinctly from everyone else. I'm not used to that. We really haven't heard him in group vocals (recorded) much and when he's in a duet well then he's there the whole time. This was very interesting to me because without the visuals I listened really hard, is he there? is he there? Oh! OMG, there he is on the verse and then he just played his little riffs and runs and wound himself inside and around all the other vocals. He's like the exclamation point, he brings the excitement! |

On Roar -- it is a pretty typical Glee track. I wish they had featured Demi more because she does a great job on her part.
I am pleased Adam got one solo. Since he is going to be on multiple episodes, there was very little chance he would get a solo and be the lead vocalist on another song -- when there are only 4 tracks on this episode.

If you are thinking about buying to help MTN chart, please do not be deceived by the Pop chart placement. Wait until it moves onto the main iTunes chart and into the Top 100.

Good explanation, and I agree that Adam's voice is so distinct from the others. When listening to Roar, I anticipate Adam coming in. It's like going to his concert and waiting patiently for his openers to finish (I guess that's with every headliner, tho). |
