From EW --- “It’s been a minute since I’ve picked up a script, but it was definitely like getting back on a bicycle. I’m excited to play a character and take a little departure from me and have a little fun,” gushes Lambert, adding that he hopes Glee will lead to more acting down the road. “I’ve always loved Jesus Christ Superstar. I want to do a film remake when they decide to get that going.” As for his music, Lambert is hard at work on his third studio album—he left RCA in July but is in talks with a handful of other labels for a record that could be completed as soon as next year. He also teased the possibility of reuniting with Queen for another go-round in the States. “It just feels like people are really thirsty for it,” he says. “I’m trying to stay busy on a lot of different projects. I don't have time to make it through the whole thread for now, but I JUST saw the videos of his audition and the cafe scene!

It feels like a whole new demo is just discovering him... This was awesome, although it is like watching two different shows. The NYC stuff is so great, and the HS stuff is just so lacking this season. Oh, and in response to someone up-thread, Curt's comment about the outfit wasn't cut, it just all happened before MTN and not after, like it seemed in the promo. Oh, that was me. Thanks for pointing that out. My brain was complete mush after MTN, and I forgot what I'd seen right before! I grinned all the way through the song. So funny to read remarks from that new demo you mentioned and to see them react to things Adam does on the regular. I agree with the comments about the parallels in the storyline to Adam's own experiences, and I thought it was wonderful that he could debut in a story that he could relate to so well. It's kinda heartwarming (and welcoming) that the writers, it seems, gave so much consideration to Adam's own situation, or maybe the theme sparked as a result of their consultations with him? I think Kurt's reaction to Elliott's statement that he didn't get into NYADA mirrors the reaction most sane people would have to the news that a voice like Adam Lambert's doesn't get an automatic "in" on radio stations. |
