The slow slog up the iTunes chart continues --- new peak 81 Glee Cast - Marry the Night (Glee Cast Version) [feat. Adam Lambert] The Voice performances and the CMA related tracks are falling which should help a bit. ** OT But I just watched Lady Gaga's YT Music Awards performance video of Dope. Looking at this and her recent firing of her manager and some other odd behavior, I think she really needs a break.Did you see her UK XF performance by any chance? What a mess! Kind of worrisome, TBH! |

In case this was missed on the gifting thread -- Thank you Cathie, Jean and Patti for the MTN gifts. They have been redeemed in the USA. I was able to switch my I-tunes account back to a USA account and not a UK account. I know we are not currently gifting but if we do start up, I'm good to go.

Finally saw the episode and I confess, I couldn't do the HS deal. I wanted to like the whole show, I did, I did. Wished they hadn't cut the core out of NYC 'Roar'..some great footage deleted on that one. Not being a Glee watcher, I def see why the move to NYC might be considered. I was so impressed with the MTN editing..!! Fantastic editing IMO. Got the very best footage of Adam for those glorious 3+ minutes. And Elliot was perfect..showing the man behind the bravado. Very jazzed with Adam's natural fit on the set..his acting, timing..kudos, Adam! And did I say Adam KILLED MTN? Lots of gifs of his hip thrusting..sigh..but so, so much more happened on Adam's watch. Referencing Gaga not only through voice, but innuendo. Thought Adam was brilliant. Did Gaga proud. Really like the NYC cast..watched every minute of that. M'kay..that's my two cents..  |

Usually when a song is covered on TV the original charts again. So is Lady Gaga's MTN back on the charts? I only tracked the two songs Adam was involved with --- Roar is now at #6, peaked at #3 earlier today. It was #5 before the broadcast. Glee had some effect on sales. This is typical. And moving from #5 to #3 is a big increase in sales. ** Here is Marry the Night,,,, 1000. Marry the Night - Lady Gaga Wednesday, November 06, 2013 6:06 AM 0992. Marry the Night - Lady Gaga Wednesday, November 06, 2013 12:01 PM 0978. Marry the Night - Lady Gaga Wednesday, November 06, 2013 7:12 PM Now 774. Lady Gaga - Marry the Night (the highest I have seen since the broadcast. It was around 970 earlier today. I do not think this is a sales increase but it is the effect of The Voice, CMA songs and new Tuesday songs dropping below it. |

And I truly hope it is better than it seems. **** Note on the discussion of Roar and MTN, Roar was also covered on The Voice on Tuesday. That would have had more effect than Glee on sales because it is a much larger audience. |
