Matt made those comments on being ambushed by journalists asking about Adam's cover of Starlight. Muse was in the middle of a tour and because Adam did not do the song on the show there was no reason for Matt to have any idea he was covering it. He had not seen the performance and at that point hadn't met Adam. The only time he did comment was in reference to the GMA performance where he commented that he thought it was interesting what Adam had done with it. Since he later approved contributing "Soaked" to Adam's album he obviously didn't have a problem with Adam doing his songs. When it was leaked that "Soaked" was going to be on the album I remember seeing lots of Muse fans saying that Matt did not ever give songs to other people. I have no idea if that was true at the time or whether it is still true. Even later we know that Adam was hanging out with Kate Hudson at a couple of parties but at that point Matt was again touring and I believe was in South America at the time. I've lost track whether or not he and Matt ever did meet and hope they met at Iheart but I don't think we know. I had completely forgotten about Soaked. I had completely forgotten about Soaked. Matt did not approve "Soaked" for Adam's album. That was handled by his publishing company. It is in an interview with Matt from 2009. He said that his Publishing people suggested it and he agreed. It wasn't his idea but he did say that it was suggested to him and he agreed that the song seemed like a good fit for Adam. I don't have an exact quote for that but it was in a couple of different articles where he was asked about it. |

Confused about the new site also because the RCA flashmod is still there, with her/his RCA logo. But the RCA logo is definitely gone from the site.  And I CAN access the music, to buy, from "store" and from "music!" The site is still in transition. But they are moving rapidly. ** Everyone can access music from AO.com by going to the music store. (Sony Play store) There is just no music in the Bravado store music department. Go here, select music: adamlambert.shop.bravadousa.com/At least I cannot get any music. That is what was confusing to some visitors. When I go to AO Homepage and click on Store, I get the store page. It then gives me 2 options, Merch or Music. When I click on Music, it works! Several years ago, Matt may or may not have liked 'Starlight', but he had the class not to say anything. Which is the point, I guess. Just like Adam isn't going to go around telling which celebs are jerks. This was the AI tour...I personally wouldn't hang my hat on a comment made or not made so long ago. JMO. Just a really quick question Did Lady Gaga ever respond to Adams performance???? Or is it that she hasnt said anything which to me is rather odd. I would have thought that she of all people would have said something since I thought the to were friends. She did write fever after all and I dont know to me it doesnt make sense. Not friends, acquaintances. I think I saw a copied tweet here that she was looking forward to him doing Applause. I think that's what the leak was at the time. Even Katy didn't mention his name in her pre-Glee tweet. If Adam felt like he had to tweet something every time somebody performed one of his songs on a tv show around the world we'd be saying woah, slow down. She's been going thru some real life stuff recently too and just may not have the energy to focus on someone else's career. |
