For those 'concerned' about Roger's quote.. it came from his own Classic Rock interview. They are not planning to go out as Queen with another singer. However I will say as someone who has followed Queen for many years and the recent interviews, he has in the past alluded to him and Brian possibly doing something solo (like a Storytellers) but wouldn't call that Queen. I think they reserve the use of the Queen brand when they do large gigs and need a frontman. Taylor also told Classic Rock that he and May plan to perform as Queen again in the future - with or without singer Adam Lambert. "I have reservations about calling it Queen, as you would imagine - it's something different," says May. "But Adam has a voice in a billion. Freddie would have loved it. And I'm not a person that plays guitar just to widdle. I like the guitar to be part of a creative process, making songs, and you need a singer to perform songs. We'll be looking at what the possibilities are in the future." Well that Roger Taylor phrase just gave my tummy an upset! ......"with or without Adam Lambert". Okay..... if Adam is too busy... .....but it saddens me .....that I guess .....everyone is replaceable. Cause Adam is just not ANYONE! When Adam releases his third album ,he has to sell it. IMHO after Trespassing came out ,Adam was busy with Queen for a while,I think it might have hurt the roll out of his new album.. The timing wasn't great.So this time I think album#3 has to be the be all for Adam.. like massive press,radio and concerts..Queen understands this I'm sure... |

Queenbert in Kiev was one of the most mesmerizing events in my Adamland experiences but I don't know how it really gains him new fans -- not respect but fans. Queen's catalog does not really mesh with Adam's catalog -- maybe A3 will. Whereas, the people who love MTN should be thrilled once they hear some of Adam's other stuff. Although I would be ecstatic to hear Queenbert LIVE; I hope, if it happens, that they only play a few dates and Queen possibly backs Adam on one of his pieces (!!!!) Then, imo, Adam should put the Queen stuff aside -- (as in been there, done that).
