THERE HAS TO BE A REASON ON WHY THEY ARE SINGING THIS??? WHY!!???? THE LYRICS AND MY IMAGINATION  I have taken the time to watch all the Glee episodes starting from the beginning. I love Adam's voice and everything Adam. Glee likes to do "Diva Offs" and this song may be one of them. My money is on Adam because his voice is more powerful. However, I like Chris' (Kurt Hummel) voice also. Kurt's voice is more boy's choir. Chris can hit the high notes, but he does not have the power on those high notes that Adam has. Chris(Kurt) is sweet. Adam (Starchild/Elliot is sexy). Here is Chris/Kurt in "Defying Gravity" Correct me if I'm wrong, but sounds like he went onto falsetto whenever he hit the high notes, on 0:16, and then on this part: It's time to try defying gravity I think I'll try defying gravity Kiss me goodbye I'm defying gravity And you wont bring me down! and MJ said Chris is a countertenor? And we've known that Adam's also a countertenor, but he very rarely using his falsetto. (I remember a banter between Adam & Allisan about falsetto.. LOL. For theater kids/geeks, they're very rarely using falsetto) |

This is going to be an interesting diva battle! This is a really challenging song to sing -- as everything Justin Hawkins sings and writes is.
I think Adam will win the diva-off unless the writers have something else in mind.

BUT I WANT THIS NOW!! And this is a teaser, not a spoiler! Please, no....I mean, the song, yes..a love interest, no. I'm twitching already..  ETA: To be clear, I deleted my other post that even nipped at any other scenarios. I like Chris. I like Adam. I feel zip chemistry, so for that reason alone, I hope Glee does not write a love interest into this plot line. It's not like Glee doesn't already have enough of that going on. I'd love to see a Diva Off if this teaser is true. Don't know how anyone can stand up to Adam's power vocally, even tho Chris has a beautiful voice. *shrugs*.. |

AS A RESPITE FROM AN ANXIETY-FILLED RL I'VE COME HERE TO HAVE SOME 'ADAM HAPPINESS'. THANK YOU, GUYS - I COULDN'T HELP BUT LAUGH OUT LOUD ON CHUNKEYMONKEY's TAKE ON THE INDIE BAND's CRAYOLA COLOURED STAGE OUTFIT AND THE 'BEFORE KURT' AND 'AFTER KURT'PHOTO. AND THAT COMMENT, "THEY'RE SO INDIE THAT THEY WERE FANS OF PRIMARY COLORS BEFORE SECONDARY COLORS EVEN EXISTED" AND THE A+++ RATING! SO HILARIOUS. I NOTICED THOUGH THAT DESPITE THOSE COMBUSTIBLE COLORS OF ADAM'S OUTFIT, HE STILL OOZES CHARISMA IN THAT STAGE SCENE. HE'S GOT THAT 'IT' FACTOR.

Top notes in IBIATCL are the same as the top notes in Adam's Crawl Thru Fire performance on Zodiac Show, he's never really sang that OTT since then but I HOPE HE DOES CAUSE IT'LL BE ORGASMIC  Indeed... |
