Last night was the biggest roller coaster drop for me. I was flying high thinking Adam was understood and that Glee had picked the Darkness song because they recognized Adam's capabilities both vocally and aesthetically. I was always nervous about having someone else in control of his image but after MTN and In the Groove, now I Believe in a Little Thing Called Love, I had relaxed. I knew Glee can be kitchy and fluffy but after they set it up with this level of quality I welcomed the silly fun to come. All they had to do is give him a song. Any song. But the Fox is not a song it is a joke, an unoriginal child's joke. What I hate about it is that it flies in the face of all Adam has been struggling against this whole time. Artistry vs commercial sell out. It is a poster-child for the music industry being based on anything but talent and quality. Fans who disregard artistry and ability for the drip of the day, "stars" that can prance around in a pair of childrens furry ears or a g string with teddy bears-while relying heavily on autotune, and an industry that sells us shit for a fast buck. I have no doubt Adam will sing it brilliantly and I am praying they somehow manage to be spin it in a way that makes it semi digestible. Maybe I am over invested in a man and a stupid tv show, but for now, I feel to honor this song with his voice it is not only beneath him but is a slap in his face IMO. Hi Kay. Someone may have already addressed your post. I wanted you (and others) to know that The Fox song IS a joke and was created as a joke by two Norwegian COMEDIANS. They wrote this stupid song and then had some video producers create an intentionally bad video for YouTube to publicize their tv show. The video went viral. It had nothing to do with the music industry as far as I know. It is the online public that made it a hit. I saw the two guys on Ellen where they explained this. It's insanely popular, but it's not the music industry that created it. I'm sure if Glee does something with it, it will also be a joke and silliness galor. That's what the show does.

Back during GNT a fan made a large puppet of Adam and had it in the first row. He/she tried to give it to Adam after the concert, but I think Adam suggested the fan keep it and entertain others with it. Do we have any pics of that puppet? I don't have time to search but I know it was present at the Puyallup concert as I was sitting not far from it :-)

OMG, this GNT puppet looks like the MTN costume.
This lady is not only talented, she must be psychic too. So great!

Thanks for the background of The Fox song. I listened again and still cannot understand how this is a parody of club music but I respect the creators more now that I realize they purposely tried to create crap. I have a number of preteens in my house so I just cannot take this kind of immature humor and ridiculousness passing as anything more than just that. And as an Adam fan I am sensitive to crap winning over quality. That said, I feel better knowing that this may be a all-cast song. It will all depend on the presentation for me and if they try to sell this as anything more than a way to laugh at themselves or at mainstream music. And for the record, my panties are not in a bunch. Crap and the public loves it!?!?!

Oh, I see these muppets are called puppets, too, and Adam gets to be Kermit the frog. TBH I did expect wooden puppets with strings that the puppeteer aka the 'puppet master' could use to make them dance and interact with the actors - or instead of the actors. Those I like a lot (and hate clowns btw). Apparently I'm up for a surprise what these can do and how they will be used.
PS We get the Ylvis brothers' talk show on Yle Fem here in Finland, tuesdays and thursdays. I was late yesterday and got only a glimpse but will try to watch tomorrow to see what it's about.

The Fox doesn't seem any worse than Purple People Eater or Disco Duck or Sexy and I Know It. Just a dumb novelty song for kids. Seems harmless enough. I saw them on iHeart and thought they actually had more musicality than some of the legit acts.
