The Fox doesn't seem any worse than Purple People Eater or Disco Duck or Sexy and I Know It. Just a dumb novelty song for kids. Seems harmless enough. I saw them on iHeart and thought they actually had more musicality than some of the legit acts. OMG I used to love Purple People Or go back another generation!

Back during GNT a fan made a large puppet of Adam and had it in the first row. He/she tried to give it to Adam after the concert, but I think Adam suggested the fan keep it and entertain others with it. Do we have any pics of that puppet? Here you go, Cassie: A little more info... The young man who made the "Adamuppet" originally showcased it at the SoDo, GNT in Seattle. He was part of a group of us who had front row tickets and he entertained the crowd waiting in line. As I recall he said he had worked for Jim Henson at one time. He did offer it to Adam and as said above, Adam told him to keep it for entertainment. At the fair show (last show of the tour) there were loads of big screen camera shots of "Adamuppet".

I kind of find puppets as much fun as clowns NOT..LOL But this time I'm tickled....So adorbs, I love Adam having his puppet cover his mouth . who is doing the talking?? Remember Adam saying he's nobody's puppet.. Haha I get the feeling that Adam is having a blast being on Glee. These aren't puppets, they've got to be muppets, and a Nile Rogers tie in since he toured with Jim Hensen and Kermit.

Wrong Adam Lambert apparently. Gelly @14gelly 15m Oh!! RT @66shevpf: I don't think it is the same Adam L ! Thanks for the correction, JazzRocks. It wasn't really a correction. The realization that it was a different AL came later. You're always on top of stuff!

I admit I listened to it for the first time yesterday (and I still haven't watched the Psy Gangnam Style YT in its entirety), but I already had heard about the backstory. If you try to ignore the visuals and the lyrics, you will notice that 1. The music is VERY similar to the formulaic crap we hear on radio, and I am sure it is on purpose. 2. Some of the favorite effects used in modern music were used in an funny way - for example the Mo-o-o-rse, Ho-o-o-rse part. 3. Other than in most radio hits, the guys have pretty strong voices. 4. They intended it to be crap, they knew it was crap, and it still got 200+ million views, which points a finger at the industry and the audience. "See, we made crap, and you liked it like all the other crap out there. Even with all the stupid lyrics and ridiculous visuals". In that context, it is a great parody. I both hated the (intentionally) crappy parts of it and loved its parody qualities. Slightly related - German ATopers might remember the case where a host of a comedy TV show represented Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest with a nonsense song written in a more or less invented language and placed 5th back in 2000. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wadde_hadde_dudde_da%3FIntentional crap often scores high. That probably explains why the industry keeps on producing crap (intentionally or not), and will-i-am is a star but Adam isn't (yet). ITA, kryptoman! And lmao at your last sentence! By the way, I was curious, so I checked to see how many hits Gangnam Style has and... it's getting close to TWO BILLION!!!! 1,819,720,429

All this animal talk reminded me that some of my very young violin students want to become pen pals with my dog. I just finished responding to my pup's first letter. It's hard to write like a dog. I inked up my thumb and created a paw print. Then I held marker in my teeth so my dog's writing would look impressively messy. Aw, the things we do.
