By the way, the folks who like to dress up in animal costumes as part of ...um...romantic play are called "Furries". I found out about them in the first place from a hilarious episode of C.S.I. (the original Las Vegas show) called "Fur and Loathing in Las Vegas" that featured a murder involving a furries convention. ![]() </img> When I saw that song performed at the IHeart festival, I must admit that I immediately thought of furries . . . uummmm . . . ![]() |

WTFS is hilarious. It makes me laugh hard every time I hear it. These musicians were definitely smoking something good when they wrote this song or they wrote it for a 5 year old kid. I love that the musicians don't even attempt to work a sexy angle.. The sexy of this song is that they are totally goofy and not trying to be sexy. Pure unadulterated, childish fun. IMHO it would feel really wrong to sex up this song. Was walking down the street the other day and passed two teenage girls (about 15) dressed in animal "onesies" can't remember animals don't think they were foxes but I am told is a big trend at the moment... I repeat WTF? |

The Fox song is just hilarious-love the craziness I am think Adam and Demi, and Ryan and cast will come up with something very fun ! Remember the magical party in the woods that was "If I had you" ?

Last night was the biggest roller coaster drop for me. I was flying high thinking Adam was understood and that Glee had picked the Darkness song because they recognized Adam's capabilities both vocally and aesthetically. I was always nervous about having someone else in control of his image but after MTN and In the Groove, now I Believe in a Little Thing Called Love, I had relaxed. I knew Glee can be kitchy and fluffy but after they set it up with this level of quality I welcomed the silly fun to come.
All they had to do is give him a song. Any song. But the Fox is not a song it is a joke, an unoriginal child's joke. What I hate about it is that it flies in the face of all Adam has been struggling against this whole time. Artistry vs commercial sell out. It is a poster-child for the music industry being based on anything but talent and quality. Fans who disregard artistry and ability for the drip of the day, "stars" that can prance around in a pair of childrens furry ears or a g string with teddy bears-while relying heavily on autotune, and an industry that sells us shit for a fast buck.
I have no doubt Adam will sing it brilliantly and I am praying they somehow manage to be spin it in a way that makes it semi digestible. Maybe I am over invested in a man and a stupid tv show, but for now, I feel to honor this song with his voice it is not only beneath him but is a slap in his face IMO.

I am not getting too upset about The Fox song. This is a silly TV show. People know this isn't an Adam Lambert concert to showcase his vocals. I can see them being friends being silly and having fun and we'll laugh along with them. It's not like this is the only song he sings for Glee.

I am thoroughly confused. Is this the upshot of last night/this morning:
- Adam is thought to be singing Into the Groove and the Fox song on the Thanksgiving episode
- Adam is doing the Darkness song in Episode 9 but we don't have an air date yet
Is that right?
