Still shaking in my boots.. 12 midnight ,my Husky who refuses to come into the house at night,was howling,barking , and was practically screaming.My Other dog ,in the house, started barking hysterically. It was 20 degrees out . I got dressed ,got Husky's leash and guess what, she ran away from me.. She thinks she's an owl,sleeps in the house by day and out, in the fenced in yard, sleeping on a pile of leaves at night. I looked over the fence and there was a bear ,a few feet between me and the fence.. it had thrown over my neighbors garbage pail and was busy eating the remains. OMG I'm terrified of bears.. I ran into the house & armed myself with a big flashlight and pots and pans to bang to frighten away the bear.. nothing.. Dog still howling and running away from me. Woke up DH.. who said what can i do. I called 911 and they said stay in the house,I said but what if the bear climbs over the fence and attacks my husky... "STAY IN THE HOUSE" "Alls well that ends well" still shaking.. So How was your evening?? :  WOW!!! Glad you and your Husky are safe. My evening? Rehearsed two movements of Beethoven's 7th Symphony for 2 1/2 hours. Talk about contrasts. I love hearing about your evening, even though Rehearsals can be tough..."Music to soothe the savage beast".. sigh |

The bear finally left, Natasha still refused to come into the house until 6:00am in the morning.. From now on I will walk her before I go to bed and make her stay in the house.. Problem being that she barks to go out at night.. She is one single minded tough husky.Thank goodness for my easy going house loving other dog. |
