I watched Glee last night and was really disappointed! I have watched all Glee seasons in the past. The current Lima high school scenes are just remakes of the original seasons!!! They really need to move away from the high school and focus on the NY gang.

I watched Glee some the first season, but haven't followed it since then. I agree that I want to see more of the NYC story line (gee, I wonder why), but I am not sure they can do that with this series. The name of the show is "GLEE." About a GLEE club in high school and the nerdy, quirky kids in it. So, how can you have a show named GLEE when there is no Glee club?
The idea of doing a spin off show with the NYC kids trying to make it in show biz in the Big Apple might work. (Oh, wait, didn't we have a show with that plot? Called "Smash?") I know Adam would not want to tie himself down to a regular cast member, but he could be a recurring character several times a season as his schedule permitted?

The "Big Apple" would be a great title for a spinoff. Can't compare this idea to Smash! I wanted to like Smash so badly but the only likeable character in the whole show turned out to be Kat McPhee's nemesis that we were all supposed to not like, Megan Hilty. They turned Smash into a horrible soap opera with characters no one cared about. The productions numbers were great, but that's all (and discovering Megan!) Glee NYC has a head start. They have characters the show's fans love. With some good writing (maybe new writers) I could see a Glee NYC spinoff being a combination of Fame, Smash, Felicity (the college angle.) IMO, It could work! Of course, in the long run, I really don't care because as soon as Adam's handful of episodes are over, I'm out of there! LOL! |

I try, and do , unconditionally love and support all things Adam, career wise, personal, look etc. He looked amazing on Glee and yes, he can ACT! More please. But that storyline last night.. painful . I could not believe I sat through the whole thing, and I love anything and everything that has music. I really could not follow what they were trying to do.The first Glee episode Adam was in had an important message about accepting the diversity and artistry of some pop music acts as compared to boy/girl next door .. but this episode? Tell me did I miss the meaning, or not? The only line I felt grabbed me was the one Adam said.. artists are allowed to fail. ( I thought that line was worth watching all the rest non- Adam moments .) Good morning. Sandymct I agree with your post especially the part I highlighted. All I could say after the episode ended was "WTF was that?!" Glee really needs to concentrate on the NY group and make a little more of an arc to the storyline.j/s |

So they move the concert outside of the ballroom. Someone said that the outside's actually smaller than the ballroom and they will use the ballroom as the backup. I wonder how many tickets that're sold? |
