Just out of curiosity, because I type pulmonary function tests at work all the time, I wonder what Adam's total lung capacity is? I have seen shows where they have tested Olympic level athletes to see what their lung capacity is. I wonder how Adam's would match up or surpass those?

crazyoldgal asked an interesting question about rock singers' high notes and their ability to keep singing like that for years. Since it has been slow recently, I took the time to answer with some depth in the vocal masterclass thread. If you are interested: adamtopia.com/post/456380/thread Thank you so much, cassie. So informative and as others have said before me, it makes me appreciate Adam even more.

Totally OT, so feel free to scroll.....I think I am going to avoid Twitter for tonight, at least....while I am not a Carrrie fan, I don't dislike her and what comments I am seeing on Twitter is making me cringe with embarrassment. :(. I hope she gets a fair review in the press.

OK, you win the prize for the most wonderful connection between work and Adam I have ever read. I will volunteer to measure it for all of us!! ETA: Dontshakemytree -- I am doing the same thing. I am also afraid to watch it even though I am not really a Carrie fan and am not a huge fan of "Sound of Music". I think it is just mock-feed and want to steer clear of the comments. My husband did DVR it "for me" -- which I never would have done and did not request -- but I may watch it with the fast forward through any boring parts.

Everyone appreciates Adam in a different way, and in the same way, if you know what I mean. Some are not into talk about vocal technique and training. It doesn't matter HOW Adam does what he does. Why talk about it. Just enjoy it. I get that perspective. For me, knowing how much work Adam has put into developing his art, knowing how hard he works to make it sound so effortless and beautiful, knowing that he didn't just fall out of bed singing like that, but has dedicated his life to it makes me appreciate him even more.

What you say about a male voice not reaching its peak until 35... If Adam keeps getting better the fandom will really need those glambulances!

Where is that YT clip of Adam blowing out the candles on his birthday cake a couple of years ago? He is so meticulous about it, and takes his ever-loving time. Definitely demonstrating his pulmonary function. It's capacity plus control.

I think it is his end of Hanukkah tweet. (Tonight was the eighth and last night.) Sorry for spamming the thread!!
