That's the hardest decision about the film. I think in the end Freddie's voice is so unique that you'd HAVE to use his voice. I far prefer to get the acting right than get an actor who can sing - so that only strengthens my thoughts on using Freddie's vocals. Hell, maybe they'll use an alternate take or two Talon, I am loving your posts! I have learned so much. Keep them coming. Love Queen-Love Lambert-Love QAL! What did you think of Adam Lambert's performance of Marry the Night?

I agree with you talon! 2 things about this, 1) Public didn't really know Freddie off the stage so I think to get the acting right by an actor who doesn't necessarily sings is find. This will bring to the 2nd most important one, his voice so special and it is a Freddie biopic movie, I would think using someone else's singing voice will be so weird. I hope Brian & Roger will want to use Freddie's singing vocal in the movie.
btw: what's QFT?
ETA: There's one song that Freddie wrote 20 minutes before the band gone on stage.. I forgot what song was it? Was that Innuendo?
Not Innuendo. "Innuendo" was mostly written by Brian, Roger and John. Freddie added some lyrics and part of the melody -- and the vocal improvisation. *** I just noticed that Adam is now in Brian May's official, quite impressive biography. And it is so nicely stated that I wanted to post it here: "2012 saw a return of Queen onstage, this time with guest vocalist, Adam Lambert, a partnership, which delighted fans and critics unanimously."Link: www.brianmay.com/brian/biog.htmlUPDATE 19 FEBRUARY 2013 Not new but I had never read it and figured I was not alone. Also -- delight is what I saw from the Queen fans at Hammersmith. So it seems like the perfect word. *** With all of the Freddie discussion the past couple of days, I just wanted to say that IMO, Queen would not have been Queen without Brian. I many ways his distinctive guitar sound and musicality was just as important as Freddie to making Queen. This is one of those cases where a somewhat unlikely combination made both artists better. He is the WWRY of Queen but is also the one who wrote most of, including the bridge in, "The Show Must Go On". For example, "Love of My Life" was a nice song (written by Freddie), but it became a beautiful song when Brian arranged it for the guitar. I am very pleased that Adam has been able to work with Brian and Roger -- and I think it has made him a better artist/vocalist/performer. NOTE: I posted this but please do not start a discussion about Freddie vs. Brian. Since it appears that more QAL is in the planning, discussion of Adam and Queen is news. And yes, the rumor mill is churning and it appears there may be a QAL return in 2014. Timing would/will be good for Adam. Here's hoping for the Grammy's. That is a smile because it is just my hope. The rumor is just that there will be another high-profile appearance -- in 2014.
After their iHeart performance, I was wondering why the Super Bowl didn't add them for their halftime performances. Bruno Marsh? Seriously? Halftime need Roger drums and Brian's rock guitar playing to excite the audience.

Before I forget... I posted Trevor's red carpet stream link yesterday, this www.thetrevorproject.org/site/pages/mediaBut there's another one on YT www.youtube.com/watch?v=486DsuXttsA&feature=shareRed carpet is scheduled from 5 to 7 LA time. Also this info - and I read somewhere, probably unoffical source, that the event ends at 9.30) Arleen Stamp @nyhome 32 min @shoshannastone Do you know what time Adam will perform? shoshanna stone @shoshannastone 31 min @nyhome mid show ETA I have no idea why the YT above shows up like it does on Atop. For me it shows a countdown to the start. Another mysterious thing is that now it shows about 3 hour til start which would make the schedule 5-7 in NY time... but I understand that the event is in LA. I'm confused but that's the info...

Not Innuendo. "Innuendo" was mostly written by Brian, Roger and John. Freddie added some lyrics and part of the melody -- and the vocal improvisation. Quick note that Freddie and Roger actually did the heavy lifting in writing Innuendo when all was said and done. That was more recently revealed. No argument here :D As I said earlier John and Roger did the background keyboard riff, but Brian did the most collaborating really only lyrically with Freddie. It was a touching story Brian told about being very shy about asking Freddie was okay singing these lyrics and Freddie would smile and say, "I'll sing them and I'll give them my all dear". I actually think it was more beautiful the original way with the piano and harp. BUT The guitar arrangement made for a GREAT moment to give and take with the fans That I agree with! I hadn't heard anything so specific yet. Where is this from? I would doubt the Grammys though. Neither artist are winning Grammys this year...and Queen never won one! (Unless the Grammys would give them some kind of career achievement award or something) ]Talon, I am loving your posts! I have learned so much. Keep them coming. Love Queen-Love Lambert-Love QAL! What did you think of Adam Lambert's performance of Marry the Night? :D Glad you enjoy me! As for AL's Marry The Night? I thought it was extremely well done - although I'm not a huge fan of the song anyways tbh. But AL did a good job with it!
