I know it's mine and I might be biased, but if you haven't listened, please do. The audio is incredible! It IS! Great job! And I totally agree - Adam really made the song sound like a new song! ( twitter.com/PattiHum/status/410129241292824576) I thought about Adam covering his own song too, listening to it.

Every performer last night was incredible. But Adam was the only one who acknowledged his accompanist. As a former accompanist and orchestra member, this is extremely appreciated and very important for positive relationships with the people who support the "stars." I've always been proud of Adam for acknowledging that. OTT but on this topic of acknowledging the accompaniment I was at Leonard Cohen concert last night and what a gracious and kind man. He acknowledged not only his band by name (twice - once in first half and once in second half) but also his crew, sound, lighting, backstage etc. He even took a moment to thank a couple of doctors in audience who had treated him for a bit of a medical problem when he first arrived in oz. And he gave the spotlight over to each of his musicians and back up singers (who were amazing - look up Sharon Robinson) standing to the back of his stage set each time. His voice may be limited to pretty much only his lower register these days but he puts on an amazing show. His band is the tightest I have ever heard, his backup singers not only sing in gorgeous harmony but move in perfect unison. 3 hours and 3 encores later it was over.

The juxtaposition of the rehearsal pic (everyone fell in love with instantly) and the performance suit (many were instantly suspicious of) makes me ... wonder ... ponder ... marvel at the artist who displayed them. And admire.
Then the performance and voice drew it all together again into a masterpiece ...
If I were a fan with any talent, I would attempt a summary of the two "events" ... just being a stan I hope and wait that somebody would find a way to do that. Until then I'll try and combine the two facets in my mind.

Yep. That performance was largely fueled by Zac. And supported by Monte (before he became Voldemort).
In my dreams, I want Zac back on keys (and whatever insane equipment he supports his keys with)* and Isaac back on drums. I'm actually pretty ok with Tommy on lead guitar and Ashley on bass. Admittedly, I would like Tommy to pick up a few tricks from Brian May (its my fantasy, ok?), but if Zac is there, I'm fine with the guitar playing.
* No idea if it exists on YouTube anymore, but there was an INCREDIBLE video of Zac at one point in time explaining his electronic layout. He just layers on sound.
I would have Zac on keys. Tiger Taylor on drums (In love watching him). I would cast a stronger lead guitar player. Suggestions? I would keep both Ashley and Tommy for a fuller sound. Add backup singers who blend better with Adam. The need for this came clear when I watched Adam perform with Nile and Chic. That quality of backup enhances Adam's otherworldly vocals,I just posted about Leonard Cohen show I was at last night. His backup singers were amazing. Sharon Robinson and the Webb sisters (you can google them). Subtle when they needed to be, strong when they needed to be. Always perfect harmony, never sharp or out of sync with Leonard. I read that he's been collaborating with Sharon for many years, would be great for Adam to find someone like that to work with. Here's a video of her doing a solo piece (she does it as part of the show - gorgeous tender performance): www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-V9UvJZKIY
