Family Equality Council is proud to present its 10th annual Los Angeles Awards Dinner, our premier West Coast event aimed at connecting the growing Los Angeles community of families headed by LGBT parents and supporters, as well as, advancing efforts to create equality for all families.
Family Equality Council will welcome parents who are LGBT, allies and honorees on February 8th to Universal Studios’ Globe Theatre for an evening that will include live performances and appearances by notables in the world of arts, entertainment, politics and the LGBT movement.

The Hollywood Palladium was bustling with stars on Sunday, Dec. 8. The occassion: TrevorLIVE, an all-star show to raise funds for the Trevor Project, a national organization that provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth.
The evening began with Emmy-winning comedian Kathy Griffin, who entertained the 1,200-member audience with laughs and harmless jokes about Selena Gomez’s lip-synching at Jingle Ball and how "'Justine' Bieber will not stop Instagramming photos of himself shirtless.”
The 15-year anniversary of The Trevor Project, produced by So You Think You Can Dance judge Adam Shankman, then witnessed several standing-ovation performances, chief among them: crowd favorite and longtime Trevor Project supporter Adam Lambert.
Dressed in a striking purple paisley-patterned suit, the rocker was introduced by American Idol judge Paula Abdul, after which he performed a moving version of his hit single “Whataya Want From Me,” accompanied only by Idol music director, Michael Orland on piano.

Sunday night The Trevor Project honored actress Jane Lynch with the Trevor Hero Award, Adam White with the Trevor Youth Innovator Award and Toyota with the Trevor 20/20 Visionary Award at TrevorLIVE in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium. This high-profile annual event was hosted by Kathy Griffin and benefitted the life-saving, life-affirming work of The Trevor Project, which provides Crisis Intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) teens and young adults. The Sunday event celebrated The Trevor Project's 15th anniversary and featured a live online pre-show of talent arrivals hosted by Shira Lazar of What's Trending and Youtube sensation, Tyler Oakley, and sponsored by Toyota Financial Services and What's Trending.
