Thanks to everyone for bringing all the goodies here. I am really impressed with Adam's Chinese fans. What a wonderful, high-profile thing to do for him.
I've got to laugh at Adam's shoes. From a distance in that red-carpet video, they remind me of clown shoes. He must have known when he chose to wear them that he really was going to be so much taller that his Chinese hosts. Nothing like standing out in a crowd in more that one way. Adam never fails to amuse and entertain me!

My yoga teacher always says you are only as old as your spine... so keep it flexible and healthy and mobile. Back surgery doesn't have to be that big of a deal depending on what is done. My father in law had surgery earlier this year to clean up calcification around a couple of discs that was pressing on a major nerve - he was in rehab for about 3 weeks. Was on restricted movement (no twisting no sitting for long periods) for another 6 weeks and is good as new now. Just depends.

in all the Shanghai jubilation I missed this alarming tweet: Dr. Brian May @drbrianmay 6h My MRI says I have two torn discs, pressing on a nerve. Well, at least I know I wasn't imagining the pain now ! Bri thanks for yr concern.
Hope Brian gets relief from pain and I wonder if there is a way to manage this condition without surgery... GET WELL, Dr. MAY!!! Thanks for posting this. I was worried about him -- because an MRI can be for so many not so good reasons. Thankfully, torn disc can heal if properly treated. It is something that, although painful, is usually treated without surgery. More info: www.cedars-sinai.edu/Patients/Health-Conditions/Herniated-or-Ruptured-Disc.aspxThe timing of this MRI and the delay in the Planet Rock news announcement seemed related to me. I hope Brian gets treatment that works and they relieve his pain. And I hope that he is healthy enough to keep working because he seems like someone who loves to stay busy. Finally, I really want to see more of Adam-Brian working together.

This is the top comment beneath the awards video that was posted by Amanda Lambert. chezzasan23 minutes ago .....
Just a side note, I assume Quentin Tarantino, Nicole Kidman, and Nicolas Cage who are apparently present for this show must be pretty surprised/shocked to see Adam winning and award! We have always known that our guy is an A-lister. The rest of the world will eventually catch up. Thanks to everyone bringing us this feast today! Also Tarantino has been a fan since Idol - Born To Be Wild rehearsal anyone?
