We are mostly having rain today but it was threatening to be icy. All my Christmas concerts are done and I was looking forward to a lovely day of relaxing at home. Since it's a slow day I'll tell my sad story. Unfortunately, during the night my lovely dog had a seizure and died at the vet's office this afternoon. This was very sudden as there were no warning signs at all. She was a soprano and sang fiercely when my students and I tuned our violins. I hated walking into my house tonight with no pup at the door. Feeling stunned and exhausted. Would like some Adam news as a diversion. So sorry for the loss of your pet.

Holst -- I am so sorry to hear your news today. When I lost my beloved kitty Sasha a few years ago, it was also sudden and took awhile for it to sink in. I still miss him, but after a time the stories are the happy ones, not the sad ones. Blessings to you and your family right now--you will be in my thoughts.

How do you go about changing your username on this forum? When I signed up I thought that you couldn't have more than 9 letters, so I shortened mine, I'd like my whole name back now. I see some people have a lot more than nine. But I don't want to change my password. Help! You cannot change your user name but you can change your Display Name -- go to Profile, select EDIT PROFILE, click on the PERSONAL TAB. You will see an editable field for "Display Name". You will still need to log-in with your original User Name.

Just saying hi and dropping off a little Xmas song courtesy of this man here on a rather quiet day around here. Enjoy ***************************************** Holst, warm hug, especially for you, tonight! ***************************************** Glad, Adam get's to spend a few quiet days off our radar screen. Don't know how he does it, but he sure can disappear, if he wants to. And we don't really know that he is actually in LA, do we? He may well be on vacation, somewhere in Asia/ Pacific. My absolute favorite Holiday duet ever.

Thanks, everyone, for your kind words on the loss of my dog. You are a wonderful bunch. I should have posted that in the Member News thread.

Hi! guys! From past few days I am busy getting ready for Christmas, cleaning, shopping, some cooking, etc.. It's Monday, is another busy day for me, I still have a visit to the hairdresser, then clothes shopping, also need a new pair of shoes, it is Christmas and I like to have new shoes is like my little tradition. Thanks to my boys, I have things done, in those days I need their help in more way than one. Most of you have a white Christmas here in Australia is a beautiful summer, which has its own charm when it comes to Christmas, this is an awesome Festive season, as well as holidays. Most Australians will spend Christmas and New Year outdoor, many outdoor activity, which I also really love. This is the time where Australia has a huge joy of doing camping, fishing, have a barbeque, music and cold beer, I really look forward do that too .. This year I will spend Christmas at home with the boys , because they are working, they have only one free day, Christmas day, but for the new year we will be going to the river where we'll spend the next few days with the rest of the family and friends who are already there. So I am very excited that I will soon be the beautiful banks of the Murray River .. Holst! I'm so so sorry, honey, I know how you feel, when I lost my Charlie it took me a long time to calm my heart, even today I see him next to my bed, where he would wait for me to wake up . Also I see him in his favorite places, Charlie was with us everywhere, he was never left alone, ever. Charlie loved the car ride, when you said to him, go get the keys , he brought a them and was ready to ride. Everything is now beautiful memories , there is no other Charlie he was a very special dog. We took Charlie from the animal shelter when he was only 18 months old and for the next 16 years he was with us. He was in the full sense of the term soulmate, I believe that he was destined for us, the things that he understood and he could do without any training really amazed us, especially how he knew or understood things a lot of times. We said that he was human . Before Charlie we had a lot of animals in our house, Charlie was the last and very unique pet I've ever had. Please accept my deep sympathy and huge hugs from me too..
