It's a snowy winter wonderland where I am so not going out today. Can't even see across the street! Anyway, got my beautiful Adam 2014 calendar yesterday and it's just beautiful. So glad I ordered. Thank's Cassie!!!!  It is so weird -- it is over 60 degrees in Akron and --- OMG!! --- THE SUN IS OUT!! Northeast Ohio (Cleveland-Akron) has the most cloudy days in America! Yes! we are #1 beating even Seattle! Sun, in December is just not allowed here. We don't have sun today but the other day it came out. I was wondering what seemed so odd and then I realized that the sky had turned blue!
I was talking to some cousins the other night and we started reminiscing -- one cousin recalled that all I ever listened to were the Doors. (I did have a Doors thing for awhile.) I've always considered my Adam obsession a little odd considering my preferences in music (and the music has a hell of a lot to do with my obsession). It's always been more though -- he puts so much into his performances -- never seen anyone like him -- Zodiac had me on the floor. Then, as I got to know the man there was so much more to admire and respect. Now, I never admired or respected Jim Morrison but I was madly intrigued by him and the music that he performed. My Adam obsession is so much more then my Morrison obsession but I do feel similarities in the excitement I feel when I know I'm going to hear them or see them perform. I guess I just like sexy guys that sing!

Anybody got snow?Here on the west coast it's just drizzly and wet. Snow, you say? Do you mean the 40cm (16 inches) we got in the last 48 hours? Oh, and then there was ice pellets, and now it's raining, just to make it harder to shovel. Good thing I went to the liquor store early.  |

Ok, a bit more OT stuff, but I am relating it to Adam since his animal spirit is a wolf. Advertised as "This is an incredible opportunity to team up with your son or daughter during Christmas break and spend some quality time in the gorgeous Salmon, Idaho Country!" This little town in central Idaho is hosting it's first "2 Day Coyote & Wolf Derby" with trophies and prize money for those who "harvest" the most wolves and/or coyotes. www.ammoland.com/2013/12/idaho-annual-predator-derby/ Just so we are clear - "harvest" = kills . So in the spirit of Duck Dynasty and free speech, I'd like to to pass this little poster along. Anybody got snow? Nope. After a week of bitter cold weather it is now 72 freaking degrees and I'm looking for shorts! Pouring. With a tornado watch, tho.  Glad all the neighborhood kids went caroling yesterday. It was definitely odd though in a lot of ways. First, it was warm so all the snowy songs were ironic. Second, we were so far past Hanukkah, that the kids had no idea what to sing at the various Jewish neighbors. Usually they practice the driedel song and sometimes throw "Oh Hanukkah" in there to mix things up with Frosty the Snowman/Jingle Bells (which is about as secular as Christmas songs get). At one house my kid eyerolled and did this year's Menurky variation ("Hanukkah oh Hanukkah come light the Menurky. Let's have a party we'll all eat some turkey!") to which the neighbor laughed and said "Where were ya guys LAST month??!!" They gave up after a block and went back for pizza, brownies, and silly hat comparisons (which is the real traditional end of caroling). |

Funny how life works..the days I have nothing much to do, Adam goes MIA and we have 6 page threads. When I have things going on, Adam is everywhere. Anybody else have this conundrum? I am happy for Adam actually, taking some down time..off the grid. Even if it means I have to get stuff done around the house.. Snow, you say??? C'mon over to my house..plenty for all! Autumn sorta skipped us and this is the earliest, coldest winter I can remember here. But I must say, it is exquisite. The sun is hitting the mountains right now and they look like they are coated in crystals. Cats, you say? Mine types better than me... therefore, it must be true that I am not accountable for anything I say anymore, right?  #blameitonKat  |
